Chapter 41: Death

The once light bathed room, was now a filled with broken glass, cracked and smashed walls. It was a mess, two d**d bodies was in display to their eyes.

Kyle was a crying mess, everyone is, but what can they do? 

They're d**d, and no such thing can bring a d**d person to life...

The roots keeps on crawling near them and all they could do is to kick and swat it away. The guys held the girls and the younger in the middle circling them. The vines and roots slowly changed it's color to poisonous purple and all that it touches melt and turn into a burning substance.

Out of nowhere, Tejin run to the fire place dodging the roots and get the blade hanging and gripped it tightly "Get away from there!" Sleire shouted but he didn't listen, instead he dashed to Stephanie with tears in his eyes.

Using the blade he's holding, he stab her in the chest and the others looked at him in shock and pain "WHY D-" before Cian can finished his words, massive flames coated Tejin and he scream in pain before being turned to pitch black ash.

"What gotten into him?? How could he?" Attiya cried even more due to what Tejin do and on what happened to him "Please tell me I'm just dreaming, this is not true" Sleire cried "I'm sorry..." Jace spoke before rushing to brake the mirror near the fire place.

Everyone look at him with their puffy eyes and he turned around. He smiled before a gigantic root smashed him to the ground "Jace!!" 

The vines finally reached them and it immediately wrap around their body. As they struggle the more the vines tightened and the roots made it's way and circled them as it keeps in merging from the ground finally devouring them. Everyone screamed for their life.

But nothing happened.

No one came.

They could feel the heat under their feet as is gets hotter and hotter. The heat remind them that it'll be their last breath, the situation they are in now was forever be their horror.

They fall.

All they could see was nothingness as they questioned "Is this the end?"  

Suddenly they felt as if they hit a solid ground, everyone groaned and looked at each other. They found themselves in a beautiful place, the place was covered with flowers and grass carpeted a path "W-where are w-we?" Attiya stuttered "Are we dead?" Alestair asked 'Follow the path and you shall seek the answer' a voice echoed even tho the place is scattered wide.

"Let's go, nothing will happen if we just stay here" Nick said wiping his tears, everyone nod and starts to walk. The place was the total opposite of the room where four of their friends d**d. Along the way, Attiya keep on crying silently remembering what just happen "Don't cry... Everything will be alright" Nixie assured even she herself can't accept the fact.

They keep on walking weakly while shedding tears. At the end of the path stood a fancy gazebo, they arrived and saw many edible things place in a table, besides them was a envelope with a beautiful calligraphy.

Nick take it with shaking hands and starts to open it "What d-does it s-said?" Kyle asked with shaking voice "It says... To those who reached this place, I hope you didn't lost hope after your loss... Rest your souls and say goodbye" everyone burst into tears "Keep on holding on... remember their s-smile... From the daughter of the sun..." Nick finished and saw them sobbing.

"What will happen now?" Kate asked terrified "I don't know..." Nick answered.

Soft breeze  blew making the flowers dance, small metallic tube (?) hang in the celling create a melody.

Flower petals circled the gazebo and you stepped in with a sad smile making them look at you "Dara!!" Attiya rushed to you giving you a hug and she cried even harder "Y-your cous-sins... T-they're d**d" she managed to say with her aching heart "Elder J-Jace and Tejin... too" Chester spoke holding back his tears.

You pat her back "I know..." you replied "I can't do anything, I'm sorry" Kyle apologized while his tears are streaming down his red cheeks "It's not your fault, no one wants that" you assured.

"Wake up~" someone called and you slowly opened your eyes "What's the matter?" you asked while rubbing your eyes "It's already ten and you haven't eat anything yet" he replied while placing a plate of food in front of you "Eat this, they left it for us to eat" he smiled before getting his and sat in front of you.

"Yah!!" you shouted and he looked at you while frowning "Why did you put me in slumber earlier??" you asked and he smiled sheepishly "Don't be angry~ you haven't get any proper sleep for the past days that's all" he answered.

While eating, you felt odd "I feel odd" you blurted and look at him "You aren't feeling well?" he asked "No, but I felt like something will happen" you replied taking a bite "Like what?" he asked while walking to get the pitchers and glasses.

"I'm not completely sure, nevermind, maybe it's just my stomach" he chuckled "Yes it is"

Someone knocked and peeked their head to the door "Elders?" he called "Everything ready?" you asked with a blank expression "Yes, Stephanie and Collete are already inside with the others" he walk in "You sure? Cause I want all of them to see everything" 

Hugo looked at him and you "I can't believe that you can do such things" he claimed and you just stare at him "Proceed" you claimed and Kiejen leave the room.

"K*ll them now" you announce, your brother looked at you and sigh "As you wished my sister..." His eyes turned green and he formed a fist and a few seconds later they heard screams "It's done" Hugo claimed and look at you who has red eyes "Let see who is next" you spoke emotionlessly "Burn" you spoke and another scream echoed the whole palace.

Hugo continue on eating still with green eyes "Smash him" you said and he obeyed. "Finished it" you announced and then again, he obeyed.
