————————————

Ali felt his body go numb as the teleportation link activated, but the sensation only lasted a few seconds. Instinctively, his hand reached for the handle on his back before he paused, realising his head was pressed against a low, plastic ceiling. Blinking in confusion, Ali glanced around. He was inside a cramped, dark-blue plastic box.

'Is this... ' Ali's thoughts trailed off as he turned to his side, noticing a dirty, grimy toilet behind him. 'A public toilet ?'.

He froze when the sound of countless footsteps reached his ears-heavy, uncoordinated, and numbering in the thousands.' What in the hell? Is there a march happening outside?' Ali thought, keeping still as his senses sharpened.

Slowly, he pressed his finger against the plastic wall, cautiously cutting a small hole with a barely audible scrape. Carefully, he widened the hole just enough to peer outside with one eye.

Ali squinted as he positioned his eye at the makeshift opening, and what he saw shocked him to the core. 'Fuuuuuuuuuck...' he thought.

What he beheld was an endless sea of shambling bodies. Everywhere he looked, rotting figures stumbled aimlessly, their vacant eyes and decomposing flesh signalling a horrifying truth.

'Zombies... ' Ali's mind processed the revelation with grim acceptance. He had been teleported into a public toilet, smack in the middle of an enormous horde of zombies, deep within what seemed like a city overrun by the undead.

Suddenly, a scream pierced the air from somewhere high up on his right.

"AAAAAAAH-THUD!"

The sound of someone shouting, followed by a sickening impact, reverberated through the area. Immediately, the zombies became agitated, their sluggish movements quickening as they groaned and shuffled toward the source of the commotion. Ali could feel the plastic walls of the toilet vibrate as zombies brushed against it, their gory, disfigured bodies pressed closer together.

'Someone just fell from a height and died right near me. Just my luck', Ali thought, tightening the bag that held his precious ration bars. 'In a zombie apocalypse, these rations are worth more than gold. I can't afford to lose them or have zombie blood leaking into my food'.

Gripping the black handle of his weapon, Ali waited, forcing himself to be patient until he herd the sound of alert ring in his head.

'Let's see what the missions are this time', he thought, focusing his mind on the interface that he knew would soon provide him with his objectives. Meanwhile, the groaning of the horde grew louder, and the putrid stench of decaying flesh filled the confined space. Ali held his nose and closed it since the smell was really horrible, he didn't mind the smell of death but it was even worse and his sense of smell didn't really help right now as everything around him smelled so bad that he couldn't even differentiate odours.

Gunfire echoed from somewhere in the distance. 'Could be players... or locals', Ali considered. Despite the zombies drifting toward the gunshots, the area around him was still packed with the undead, like ants swarming a dropped crumb of food. 'Please don't let this horde number in the hundreds of thousands', Ali thought grimly. From his limited view through the hole, all he could see were the rotten heads of zombies stumbling past, blocking any clear line of sight.

Finally, his interface pinged, and the missions appeared.

"World Mission: Survive the apocalypse for 3 days."

"Personal Mission: Clear the three skyscrapers from the dead (0/3)."

Ali closed his eyes in frustration. 'You've got to be kidding me', he grumbled internally. 'Who wants to hang out in a place worse than the slums for three whole days? And clearing skyscrapers of zombies? This is so fucked! I asked for magic, Paradise, and you drop me in a zombie nightmare?' He thought in annoyance.

'Alright, no time for complaints. Let's focus. I've always wanted to see how l'd fare in a 1v100,000 scenario. Time to test my horde-clearing skills!' Ali mentally prepared himself, pushing aside his frustration and tuning into the task at hand.

Securing his rations on his back, Ali gripped the handle of his weapon, inhaling deeply before exhaling in a slow, controlled manner. The sound of his breath seemed to catch the attention of a few nearby zombies, who halted their aimless wandering and turned in his direction. Their jerky movements stirred the horde around them, drawing more attention to the plastic stall concealing Ali.

'No point in delaying now', Ali thought, tightening his grip on the black handle of his weapon.

BANG!

Ali kicked the door of the public toilet with such force that it flew forward like a missile, crashing into the zombies directly in its path and clearing a space for nearly twenty meters.

In an instant, Ali leaped into the open, his body twisting in the air as he activated the button on his handle. With a mechanical hiss, the black handle extended into a massive, blood-red longsword that pulsed like a living, breathing entity, hungry for blood.

The nearest zombies turned their attention toward the towering figure of Ali, who was now standing amidst the horde with his monstrous weapon. Ali swung the massive sword in a wide, circular arc. The blade cleaved through the surrounding zombies like they were nothing, splitting their bodies in two with ease. The dismembered corpses crumpled to the ground, but Ali didn't linger.

His sharp gaze flicked upward, catching a glimpse of the distant skyscraper looming over the city. Ali barely saw the tip for a second but it was enough to mark his next destination.

Without hesitation, Ali dashed forward, his body blurring with speed, each step measured, every motion calculated to avoid the clutches of the horde. The quinque in his hand hummed with an otherworldly hunger, its crimson blade cutting through the air as it swung with deadly precision.

Zombies stumbled into his path, their decaying bodies instinctively drawn to his movement. Ali's sword slashed horizontally, the blade carving through rotten torsos like wet paper, sending chunks of flesh and bone scattering across the street. Yet, he didn't stop to finish them. Ali was a whirlwind of violence, cleaving through the sea of undead, not aiming to kill every single one, but merely to clear a path through the horde, leaving maimed and broken corpses behind.

His feet moved rapidly across the blood-soaked ground, stepping lightly to avoid the severed heads and twitching limbs of the zombies he had cut down. Ali wasn't interested in finding out what happens if he's bitten, he'd rather get through this horde without a scratch. The heads that rolled and fell still snapped their jaws hungrily, a reminder that any pause in momentum could lead to a deadly bite.

Without missing a beat, Ali brought the blunt side of his sword crashing down on the head of a particularly agile zombie that had lunged at him. Its skull cracked with a sickening crunch, the creature's body crumpling instantly under the force of his swing. Not stopping for even a moment, Ali sidestepped another attack, his reflexes as sharp as the edge of his weapon.

A giant, hulking zombie loomed in his peripheral vision-a seven-foot monstrosity with muscles that bulged unnaturally under its decayed skin. Its eyes were hollow, its mouth dripping with bile as it lumbered forward, arms outstretched in an attempt to grab Ali.

In one fluid motion, Ali ducked beneath the creature's swinging arm, his footwork flawless. With a quick pivot, he drove the edge of his quinque into the zombie's leg, cutting through flesh and tendon. The towering beast let out a guttural growl as its leg gave way, sending it toppling to the ground in a heap.

Not one to waste an opportunity, Ali grabbed the zombie's massive foot with one hand. His muscles bulged with black veins, pulsing with raw power as he effortlessly lifted the giant creature off the ground. Ali swung the body like a makeshift weapon, using the colossal weight of the zombie to crash into the undead closing in on him.

The impact was devastating. Zombies were flung backward, crushed under the weight of their fallen brethren as Ali's swing created a domino effect, sending them tumbling into one another. Bodies crumpled, bones snapped, and limbs flew as the giant zombie became a wrecking ball of destruction, mowing down everything in its path.

With a final, powerful heave, Ali released the giant corpse, hurling it with immense force into the blocking direction of the skyscraper. The body barrelled through the crowd like a freight train, plowing through the masses of undead and creating a temporary gap in their ranks. Zombies were flattened beneath the weight of the corpse, their skulls cracking like eggshells as the giant landed with a thunderous crash.

Ali didn't waste a second. Using the fallen zombies as stepping stones, he sprinted forward, his feet barely touching the ground as he moved with supernatural speed. His movements were a blur, each step landing on the bodies of the fallen undead, using them as a ramp to gain momentum.

The black veins along his legs bulged even more prominently, pumping with energy as he gathered his strength for what was to come. He took one final step on the crushed skull of a female zombie, and with an explosive burst of power, launched himself into the air.

The ground beneath the zombie's head caved in under the sheer force of Ali's jump, its skull exploding into mush as his feet propelled him skyward. He soared above the horde, his body an arc of pure speed and strength, cutting through the air like a missile.

From his vantage point in the air, he saw the vast horde of zombies stretching for what seemed like miles. The entire city was overrun, its streets flooded with the walking dead

But Ali wasn't done yet.

As he descended back toward the ground, he brought his blade down in a brutal downward slash. His red sword ripped through the air, its edge gleaming with lethal intent. The moment he landed, the blade cut through a cluster of zombies, splitting them apart from head to waist in a single, devastating motion. Blood and gore sprayed into the air, the force of his strike creating a shockwave that sent nearby zombies staggering.

Ali spun in place, swinging his sword in a wide arc, decapitating several zombies in one fluid movement. Their heads flew into the air, their bodies collapsing in a grotesque heap around him. The undead continued to swarm, their decayed hands reaching for him, but Ali was a force of nature-unstoppable and unrelenting.

He pressed on, carving a path through the horde with ruthless efficiency. The blade of his quinque gleamed as it sliced through limbs, torsos, and heads with ease. Every swing was calculated, every strike precise. Ali moved like a seasoned warrior, dodging, striking, and weaving through the mass of undead with an almost mechanical precision.

A group of zombies lunged at him from all directions, their decaying jaws snapping eagerly. Ali sidestepped one, slicing its legs out from under it before pivoting to block another attack. He rammed the blunt end of his sword into a zombie's chest, sending it flying backward into its companions. Another zombie leaped at him from behind, but Ali, sensing the movement, spun on his heel and slashed upward, bisecting the creature in mid-air.

He continued his relentless advance, the skyscraper growing closer with every step. The towering building loomed over the chaotic streets, its windows shattered and its walls stained with the remnants of a society that had long since crumbled. Ali's eyes locked on the structure, his target now within reach.

The skyscraper would be cleared of the undead, and Ali would show this forsaken world that there's something even scarier than a horde of man eating corpses.
