Darwin shook his head. “Fifteen is the highest. We should check out every floor, though. Just in case.”
Endymion shuddered visibly. “Ugh. This is the worst.”
“What is?”
Endymion gave Darwin an exasperated stare. “Searching out spirits on Halloween.”
Kellan smirked. “Oh, come on, babe. Isn’t that the whole point of Halloween? Where’s your Halloween spirit?”
Endymion threw Kellan a deadpanned look. “Really? A pun?”
“Lighten up, babe. Think of this as yet another unusual date for the three of us.”
Endymion rolled his eyes at Kellan. “Ooh, I’m so excited. I can’t wait.”
Darwin chortled. “Let’s just get this over and done with.”
“My thought exactly.”
Kellan slung one arm around Endymion’s shoulders. “Me, too.”
