Chapter 35

“If I had known a basket of food would yield such a passionate response from you, I would have brought Michelin-star food into the office instead,” Endymion teased Kellan before leaning closer toward Darwin for a gentler kiss.

Kellan didn’t have a suitable comeback, so he simply shrugged and took the basket from Endymion’s hand before taking everything out and putting it on his desk. The food consisted of homemade meatball pasta in barbecue sauce and some garlic bread. Endymion had also baked an apple pie for dessert. There was also a large bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice with plenty of ice in it to keep it cold.

Kellan patted his stomach close to an hour later and leaned against the back of his chair when he was done. “I think I’ve gained ten to fifteen pounds since we started dating.”

Endymion rolled his eyes. “You’re exaggerating. Well, unless you’re talking about your muscle mass. I think you both look awesome.”

“Thanks,” Kellan and Darwin said at the same time.
