"What?" I asked him, staring blankly while the others do not seem to have enough of a clear head to be able to form a single word. Out of everyone, Solar looks about the most surprised. "We are what? I don't remember anything."
He looked at me with a small smile on his face, gentle and kind, "You wouldn't, Orion. You couldn't. Because you were not like me."
"I don't understand, Altair."
"He's the first boy wolf." Comet suddenly said, getting to his feet and pointing to Altair. "Aren't you, Altair? You … you were there that day, then the goddess broke the spell."
Eyes widening, I turned to Altair who smiled, nodding, "Yes. I was the boy that night." He turned to me, reaching his hand out and tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "Because of what happened, I was given the gift of immortality by the other deities but the goddess only looked at me with pity.
