The road was long.
But-
After so long-
They’d finally crossed the border and neared the city-
“That is the capital city of the human realm, my lady,” Xerc said.
Tug-
Tug-
The carriage slowly pulled by the horses-
Was underway to reach the city.
The roads were crude, but at least there were roads to begin with.
“Help!”
“What happened?” Maria said casually.
Xerc stared back- “It would seem our second carriage has been stopped by a traveler. Nothing too serious.”
Moments later, they resumed their journey and were on their way for the city.

“Halt!”
They inspected the two carriages-
“Enter!”
And were permitted to enter.
But one knight-
One female knight- “Pardon me,” Entered Maria’s carriage. “My lady, I’ve been asked to be your escort for the day.”
Purple hair, a rugged knight but quite a beautiful one at that too.
After coming to this world, Maria had seen quite a few female soldiers but compared to the number of men- it wasn’t much.
