Chapter 1- The Given Chance

"What do you think daughter"- Aurelia

"He's alright"- Edith

Aurelia -"Thank god, finally it means you won't kill him"

Edith -"No mother, I never said I will not fight. I only said that he is alright"

Aurelia-"Well that's good enough coming from you. You have challenged and killed all 67 men that came to marry you. I thought when it comes to marriage you will only say the same thing that - "

Edith (while smiling) -"I will kill him, yeah I also thought the same for all my life till now. Maybe this time I will not have the ritual of lost blood. Also because i don't want his blood all over my marriage dress"

Aurelia -"yeah he is going to need all that blood if he wants to live with you. I've seen you in marriage dress 67 times but still this 68th you look just as precious as you did in the first one"

Edith -"except those first 67 are all painted from white to red due to the blood of those weak bastards coming to marry me"

The world which got developed after the women instead of the men got in power was totally different then one could think it would be. All this happened after a disease spread like a wildfire which could only be contracted by the human females of the world. It made the human body work multiple times faster and better than it could but it also increased the aging twice as fast, So now the average age for the woman in the world to live was 45 years.

Due to this disease all the Women got way stronger than it was possible before and after generations of not having any cure for this all the girls were born with this disease as a part of their DNA. All because of this now the world runs on Matriarchy, where WOMEN are seen as SUPERIOR.

" Today once again is my marriage and after freeing 67 men from this earth which wanted to rule by marrying a royalty. I stand in my white silk gown filed with diamond engravings looking outside where I have to be married today with a man. I never thought this day will come when I will marry without having the ritual of blood before the marriage but here I am feeling like I have already tested this man. "

Edith as she comes out sees the roman colosseum that her royal parents own filled to the brim with the people waiting there to see the "THE BLOOD SEPARATION RITUAL". Everyone is cheering her as she slowly walks to the center of the colosseum and looks in the eyes of the man waiting for her smiling at her like he achieved everything he even wanted in his whole life. As even sitting in the colosseum starts chanting "BLOOD! BLOOD! BLOOD BLOOD!" from every corner and as the voices reach Edith, Her left leg where she always keeps her dagger starts to quiver. She might have accepted the marriage in her mind but her body still wants to fight and give everyone what they are wishing for. Somehow she stops herself and the whole colosseum goes silent. Everyone has a look of shock on their face like something deep in their soul just shattered. From the youngest to the oldest just looks like a statue made and forgotten for years, they look like they even stopped breathing. 

It looks like Edith has rejected the ritual. 

The Man that looked like he had achieved everything a minute ago standing in front of Edith now has this look of despair like he had died from inside. He look as Edith from up to down in a shock and his expressions change from shock to anger as he says- 

"What! what is this, I can't marry someone like you. You disgust me, I challenge you to the Ritual of blood"
