Chapter 21 - Arrows ahead!

"Pheia, wait for a second," Alani calls for her best friend to stop. They have been walking too far from the Bairn estate. Which adds to the aching foot of Alani. Pheia halted her step and looked behind her. She doesn't know if this girl two meters away from her, who is now panting and sweating profusely, is stupid or not.

But she sighed and walked towards her now, deep inside Maiden's heart, considered her close friend. At least not an acquaintance anymore. It was a good improvement in Maiden's social skills.

Pheia then asked, "Why? Is there anything you need?" She glance at Alani once in a while as she also examined the place that they were in. Earlier before she walks out of the group, she had already sensed some peculiar movements on the east side of the forest. So she purposely walks away from the group and heads unto it. But she didn't calculate that this considered close friend followed her until here in the area where the presence was most prominent.
