"She only told me what took you long to say, I'm not offended either, l knew you were of high rank right from the moment l saw you in the store, "l mumbled genuinely.

"It's nothing, Bernard, l don't give thought to all those things, it's just a responsibility."

"But then, you could have told me, I thought we would be sincere with each other."

"You want me to apologise for something like this, isn't it?"

"Forget about it, l will stop here, l don't want to go so far from the house."

"You loudly skipped dinner some moments ago now you want to hurry back? Don't be like that, don't ruin the good feelings l had earlier when you wanted to spend time with me like this, " He grumbled in a faint tone toying with my hair playfully.

"I tell you what, l have in mind to ask your parents for permission."

"Don't bother."

"Let me finish, not for you to live in my Pack, you can decide that on your own but don't keep me waiting too, l only want their permission for you to visit the Pack for a couple of days, although the ceremony is five days at length, l want you by my side, l won't be able to visit you daily like before and l don't want you to miss me either."

"Oh, it's a meeting for Alphas, why do you want me there?" I implied honestly, that he is not using that as an excuse to invite me to his house, is he?

"I didn't invite you to attend the meeting Bernard, it's a pressured week for me and seeing you ease my stress, soothe my mind like how you are standing beside me right now."

"Since you say so, l will come if my parents agree."

"And if your parents don't agree? Does it mean you won't heed my request, Bernie?"

"Stop! " l groaned, taking his hand off my face, "You didn't ask me to visit you politely, you only went by saying you want to ask for permission from my parents, " l said.

"You are so hard to please, that is one of the reasons why l can't think significantly when it comes to you. If I asked you directly, you would go about pleasing your parents and not considering how l feel about it, now l want to do it your way and you are not cool about it, tsk, you are so interesting as usual."

"You win, l think I should go back now."

"Why don't we talk about our kiss last night before you go?" He said, seizing my hands in his, his flecked red-violet eyes settled on my face which had me gazing at the ground timidly. He is not expecting me to tell him that he got my first kiss, is he?

"Should we do it again? " He muffled teasingly taking a hold of my wrist which made my heart flutter astonishingly, l kept my stares away from him as possible as l could.

"Talk to me, Bernie? Mmh?"

"Can you stop with the Bernie name, it sounds weird, and no we can't do it out here, " l muttered exasperated ly even though that was not what l was meant to say, it will surely make him push deep into the conservation and it won't end in a few minutes.

"Your thoughts are somewhere else?"

"No, I'm just tired, yeah."

"If that is...."

"Bernard! " Athena growled hurriedly like she really meant to find me.

"Your mother is looking for you, she is worried that you left without much words, " she grumbled painting slowly on her breath, without taking her eyes off Jason, that doesn't sound like my mother said, but l just smiled and went with the flow, l want to leave here anyway.

"Bernard was just on his way back, you didn't have to come running to him like he is your owner?"

"And you are his owner, Jason? " Athena scoffed and l drafted my eyes to the side thinking deeply about what is going on here, why are they suddenly debating on ownership? Why does everyone around me seem to have a thing against Jason, well except my parent that has absolutely no idea of how our kind perceives each other.

But l think he is perfect, he handsome and flawless, his red-violet eyes are so rare and beautiful, his boisterous tone is screeching alternate dominant that is somewhat overbearing, "Okay, you guys should stop, l was about leaving Athena, Let's go, " l mumbled nodding respectfully as l heaved my hand off him.

"I will see you soon, Bernie, " Jason said and l just nodded and walked out.

"I'm not surprised how Jason became like that, he has always been a negative ambitious person, he likes licking from the wrong plate and he is so full of himself, " Athena muttered and l paused on my feet to get a better understanding of what she said, but l didn't understand, "I think you and my sister has a way of speaking ill of people, especially the ones that have done nothing to offend you, you are unbelievable, you barely know him and l appreciate you for coming, you didn't have to and l can bet that my mother never asked you to come to check on me, you only came because you were curious?"

"You had a thankful look on your face a moment ago when you saw me, what happen now?"

"So you read people's facial expressions? And by any chance, you didn't think that expression you think you saw was because l was tired of having to fight the annoyed aura he had around him today."

"Are you indirectly telling me your love problems? And you are scolding me at the same time, which answer do you really want?" She retorted childishly, "Just forget about it, " l whispered going on my steps.

"Don't think too much about that Psycho, believe me when l say so, he is not worth it, he is just manipulating you so that you will never leave him, tsk such a sneaky guy if you ask me, " She said and l regretted immediately for having to listen to what she had to say, "Just leave me alone for good and we will be fine, " l answered back.
