Aurora’s POV
I was fuming at what Liam had told me. He didn’t even have the decency to offer me an explanation. He used his authority to dictate my life. I thought he was different, but he was no better than any other Alpha. I wanted to do something – punch the wall, scream, break something – but regardless of what it was, I was a ball of negative energy, and I desperately needed a release.
“Knock knock,” Faith said as she pushed my bedroom door open.
I hadn’t told anyone about what happened in Liam’s office. Faith probably witnessed me pissed and leaving. My mother had just assumed I had a bad day, but she had no idea. Just when I was starting to love something, it was swept right from under me as if it were never mine to begin with. I was starting to feel like this was Alpha Robin’s pack all over again.
