Chapter 16 Political stuff

Since when 'it' all started, the different races were all at first at lost and then at chaos.

Particularly the dwarven race,the winged race known as angels and the horned race know as demons, as quite a number of gates appeared in most of their territories.

The angels somewhat managed to defend their lands and ultimately getting stronger than any race at that time.

The same thing did not happen to the other two races,as they were driven out by the monsters and the rulers of the dwarves and demons at that time perished battling the monsters.

Losing their lands and homes the two races separetely started to attack and conquer part of the lands of other races,particularly that of the humans.

Even before, the two races were warmongers, even the peaceful and merciful angels despise them.

Making the most benevolent and kind race scorn you is an admirable feat,you know?

Differently from the first three,the elven and fairy race having the smallest lands of the other four races,they were able to fairly defend their lands and despite the two could take advantage of the situation they instead sent reinforcements to everyone.

The two together with the winged race already had solid a alliance.That still to the present is a strong one.And also because of that,the angels were able to fend off the monsters with the help of the two.

Then lastly there are the humans,having the biggest territory they also have different rulers as one isn't able to control a piece of land that vast.

Some remained neutral,they just cared to defend their territory.

Some helped the others.

Some desired more riches and lands,therefore they took advantage of the situation to plunder and conquer a part of others' territory.

Their relationship with the other races are complicated.

At the first months,all the races didn't put too much effort on dealing with the monsters as they were too busy with themselves and with the others.It was also because after appearing and conquering the lands where they appeared,the monsters didn't move beyond a certain line,giving a breather to everyone.

But it all changed when a massive wave of monsters went and attacked and conquered half of the human's territory.

Since that event,all the races ceased all hostilities and temporarily agreed to cooperate and fight against the monsters.

But despite that they weren't able to slaughter their way and kill all the monsters,instead the purpose of the alliance is to all come to assist one's territory the moment a massive wave attacks that specific territory.

But time changes,and now that some people who have a system began to be arrogant and stronger, they began to think that an alliance is useless.Some even think to give certain privilege to those who have one while those who still don't possess one submit to them.

From that there are people who wants that those who have a system reign those who don't,creating a sort of goverment that blantantly and totally privilages those who have a system.

And you know how wrong and how many complications that will give.

Let me give you a few examples:A straining relationship and subtle hostility between the one who have and who don't have, a revolt that might happen leading to unnecessary deaths and many more.

It might be cheesy and all,but working willingly and together is far more efficient.

If you are not motivated,forced and with low morale,how can you expect people to give you good results?

This kind of thought began to spread from the dwarves and humans as currently there are some rules and laws in there that were implemented with that kind of thought,while they are for now not that extreme people are starting to change.

Obviously all the other races were not unaffected as some of them have begun to also have that kind of thought.

In summary,what the king, Thaleasin is worried,is that in a not far future,the elves and also the others will not be united as it is like now, despite it is a superficial alliance that pales compared of the elven,winged and fairy alliance,it was able until now to hold against the periodical attacks of the monsters.

If by any chance in a critical situation those kind of people cause trouble it would result in a catastrophe.

While the elven king cannot mingle and interfere with the others,he can eradicate those within his kin.

By using the seed as a bait,it will push and expose those with ill intent.

How?

With Edea,of course.

While she could still predict who will have that kind of thoughts,there are some limits as some will not even move until there's a good reason to.

And the seed is a good one,by having it they can use the excuse of 'protection' to make the populace side with them.

Other than a few ones, the fact that a calamity will strike this land is not known to no one,while the effects of the seed were purposely spread,not only to bait but also to give a ray of hope and relief to the populace.

Gaining a world tree,giving hope and eradicate the ones who have ill intentions.

Killing three birds with one stone.The king is a cunning one.Well it is the duty of a king after all.

As for me?

All this political stuff do not concern me,as long as the alliance of The Kindred remains solid,yes that's the name of the three's alliance,I think all other races can do whatever they want.

I have a rather positive opinion of these races and nature.You can say I'm playing favourites.

While I contributed to that and maybe even rewarded,other than watching it unfolding from the side,I will not do anything at all.

I will relax with the girls in the back while waiting for the seed to grow in a beautiful and majestic tree.

As for getting stronger?I already have plans for the two of them.Heheh.

Leveling is important but raising one's combat experience,ability and capacity is way more important.
