Lunch with the guys (93)

Ariel was excited this time flying. She helped take off and now she was flying.

"Your a natural. Soon you can do this all on your own." He said.

"I don't know about that but this is a lot of fun. Almost as much fun as swimming. Last night you were talking about me and a new project what was it?"

"A dolphin show run by a mermaids. Also a mermaid show were the mermaid talks to the kids. Kind of what you do for the fundraisers."

"How do you know what my show is like?"

He bleep her nose, "I have been to a few of your shows. I have a lot of charities I suport. I like when you talk to the kids and answer their question. You make the Fairytales come alive."

"If you had one question for a mermaid what would it be?"

He though for a minute then smiled, "Are there anymore like you at home?"

She laughed, "I do not have any sisters sorry. George can I ask you a question?"

"Ask away" He smiled back.

"Why does he want me?"

"I don't know that answer. You are a wonderful girl. If I had to take a guess I would think it's your sweet giving personality. You made me, an instant fan of your. To tell you the truth, I am a little jealous he found you first."

"Then why did he blow me off today?"

"I don't know."

"Do you know that girl?"

"No, I'm sorry."

"What time will we get back?"

"Around 1. How about I take you out for a late lunch before taking you home." he asked.

"I would like that. Can I meet your other brother's too?"

"Sure, I'll text them now." He pulled out his phone and turned it back on. Still no message from Richie.

He sent out a group text:

[1:30 at Mama's place. Lunch is on me. Bringing a guest you all have to meet.]

Tubby [See you there]

Harper[👍]

Mickey[We will be there]

But no reply from Richie. Why was he being like this?

Marcus boarded the plane and took his seat. How could he be so stupid. Would she except his apology or just kick him to the curb. He looked at his phone one last time then sent a text to her.

[You probably won't want to hear it but I'm sorry. She was just an old friend. There is nothing between us. Please can we talk when I get back. Boarding the plane now.]

He then switched off his phone and closed his eyes. He was really in the dog house now.

George sat back down and handed Ariel a bottle of water. "They all said they will meet us there."

"Where?"

"Mama's places."

"Never heard of it where is it at?"

"Heather's cafe. She is like a mother to all of us."

"I love eating there too. I think Marcus said Mickey's mother is Heather."

"Yes he is."

"Tell me what his real name is again please."

He laughed, "Ok... Mickey is Nelson and he is married to Harper who is Harry but never call him Harry he hates it. Tubby is Robert but goes by Bobby sometimes. I am Heny and Marcus is Richie."

"Ok it's Nelson, Harper, Bobby, George, and Marcus. But Harry did not say anything when I called him that when we met before?"

"Then call him Harry. It is probably us that can't call him Harry."

"I'll just ask to be safe." She smiled.

"You got our names but you can call us what ever floats your boat. Ok ready to land this baby."

"I think I will still let you land. " she laughed. She really did feel at home with Marcus's friends.

A car was waiting and after a few minutes of loading the car they were off. They arrive on time to find three handsome men waiting for her. She smiled as George introduced each one and she shook their hands.

They talked and laughed. They made Ariel feel like one of the group. Soon it was 4 o'clock and she was tired.

"George can you take me home now. I am really tired."

They all said goodbye and Ariel left.

"She is a sweet girl." Tubby said.

"Yes she is. I wonder what happened with Richie. Why was she with Heny?" Mickey asked

"Want me to call?" Harper asked.

They both said yes so he picked up his phone and dialed.

"Hey"

"Where are you,?"

"Just got off the plane. Waiting on my driver."

"What happened?"

"I messed up. I ran into an old girlfriend and forgot Heny and Ariel was there."

"That was a dick move."

"I know, how do I make it up to her?"

"A lot of knee groveling. By the way, we had a late lunch with her. And I can speak for us all if you hurt her we will all kill you."

"I understand. Do you know were she is now?"

"Heny took her home. Who was the girl?"

"Nobody you would know. I dated her just a few weeks or so before she broke up with me. It was back in my second year of college but we stayed in the same group of friends till we graduated. She is having a reunion with everyone."

"Well I wish you luck." Harper said.

"I'll need it." Marcus hung up as the driver pulled up. He got in and told him to drive to Ariel's place.

When he got there he asked his driver to wait unless he was gone for over twenty minutes. He was hopping she would let him stay.

He pushed the buzzer on the front door and he heard "Yes?"

"Ariel it's me, can we talk?"

There was a long silence then a loud buzz and he opened the front door. He ran up the stairs to her apartment and she was standing in the doorway waiting with her arms cross. He was really in trouble.
