Broken nose (45)

Marcus paced the floor. She had been gone for only two hours. Doctor Kim said it would take 12 to 14 hours for the procedure.

"Marcus, sit down. I called Mom and told her about the wedding, she is coming over to see you." Harrison said.

"Harry, I'm scared."

"I know bro. I know, when Kimberly was sick and she told me she was not going to take the treatments I was scared to death, all I thought about was what I would do when she died. Then Mom told me that if I only thought of the what if's then I would lose out on the now. So just feel the love she brings to you know."

"Thanks Harry I needed that." Marcus said.

Soon a voice could be heard booming down the hall. "Where is that ungrateful brat that made my wife cry."

It was Mr. McKenna himself.

"Stop it now. This is a hospital." JJ said.

"Dad, be quite, people are tring to rest here. Why did you come." Harrison said.

"My dear son, that brat stole your girl and you have to ask why I am here. There you are you ungrateful brat. You could not wait to steel more from your brother. I should of forced your mother to abort you when I found out she was pregnant."

"Sir, I think you should leave you are not welcome here. Mom, if you want to stay you are welcome ." Marcus said.

Before Marcus could trun around (Pow) he was on the ground. His father had hit him. JJ and Harper grabbed him and was holding him back.

"No one talks to me like that boy. Don't worry son, I'll get the marriage annulled and set it up so you to can get married. Marcus McKenna you will be sorry you were ever born."

"My last name is Jensen. Marcus James Jensen. Get this scum out of here and ban him from coming near me or Ariel again." Marcus said.

"Marcus, please don't upset your father. I'll talk to him. Please son." His mother said.

"Mom, please don't excuse dad's behavior anymore. He is the one in the wrong. Marcus did nothing wrong all his life except take dad's abuse and we just swept it under the rug. No more, my brother deserves to be happy." Harrison said.

Tubby watched this family drama then went over to help Marcus up. "Brother we need to get your face looked at. If your Mermaid see you now it will make her worry."

"You right, thanks Tubby. Harrison can you stay with mom?" He said.

"Sure, If we get word, I'll call right away."

JJ and Harper took Mr. McKenna out of the building.

"Sir, please don't come back." JJ turned to leave then said, "Before you go, your son is the smartest and bravest most loyal person on earth. We would not be the men we are today if not for him. He stood by us when the rest of the world through us away. We all would go to the end of the earth for Marcus. If you ever lay another hand on him, we will get rid of you."

"You just don't know the real him." He said walking away.

"I think Marcus had the worst parents out of all of us. Our dad's didn't give a crap and walked away. His dad just keeps abusing him over and over." Harper said.

"Your right. Why does a good kid like him get a shitty dad like that. I'll have someone look into this man, something has to be up." JJ said taking out his phone.

Marcus was being treated for a broken nose. "He took me by surprise this time. Most of the time I can get out of his way."

"He has hit you before?" Tubby asked.

"Yes, when I was little I would hide when he was mad. I was placed in the hospital a few times."

" Your family let him do that to you?"

"I don't think they really know if they did then they never showed it. He would tell them all that other kids did it. I was a bad seed after all. I fought back ocne and knocked him down that's when I was sent to the hell hole. I am glad I went, I got to meet you all. When you left and no one was left to protect me. He paid other boys to beat me up."

"Why did you not say something?"

"I did once to my grandfather. He sent someone to teach my dad a lesson and that's when it got worse. Remember when I was 17 and ran away not telling anyone were I went. My father sent me to a sex shop. I was a bitch for over six months till I escaped. I lived on the streets for a few more months."

"Kimmy found me and brought me home with her. I finished school and my grandfather paid for me to go to college. When Mickey died I realized that you are my true family. I needed you guys. After Kimmy and Harry got married I moved in with them. Kimmy made me promise that I would look after Harry and the baby."

"Man, you should of told us what that bastard was doing. We would of help you more." Tubby said.

"It's all good now. I have my brothers and my girl. Life could not be better." Marcus said then his phone rang. It was Harrison.

"What's wrong?" His heart was in a panic.

"Nothing, we got an update from Doctor Hinderaker. Everything is going fine. So far the repairs Doctor Kim has made are good. He will update us again later."

He took a sigh of relief, "Thanks Harry."

"Any time. How is you face?" he asked.

"Broken nose. I'm fine now we will head back over there." Marcus and Tubby went down the hall.

When Tubby got there he said, "JJ come with me to get everyone some coffee."

"Can I have hot chocolate?" Lily asked.

"Sure I'll get you hot chocolate." Tubby said.

"I'll help too." Harper said.

The three walked down to the cafeteria and Tubby told his brothers all the things Marcus had been through.
