Shortly, the butler's voice cut through the silence in the study. "Sir, Mrs. Sinclair is back. She refuses to leave until she sees you."
Mr. Dominic set the frame in place, saying, "Let her wait for me in the living room." His deep voice was commanding, echoing off the study's wooden paneling.
The butler bowed and walked out.
With a fluid motion, Mr. Dominic pushed himself up from his chair, the wooden chair creaked, its legs screeching on the wooden floor in protest.
As he stepped out of his study, the warm glow of the afternoon sun spilled through the foyer's windows, casting a golden light on the polished marble floor.
The soft murmur of the butler's voice drifted from the entrance hall, "Right this way, Mrs. Sinclair."
