Divine Lightning Body Technique

'The cultivation of the body is always done physically, using the natural mana of the universe to clean one's body of impurities to make them stronger.

'The body unlike the soul, has direct access to the environment and physical matter hence making it one of the most important aspects of any Mage. Most mages ascend the cultivation ladder by cultivating their bodies and not their souls. This shows how important cultivating the body is!'

Aiden read the first few sentences of the book. Just these sentences had taught him a few things.

'So the body has the ability to interact with the environment directly but the soul doesn't!' Aiden thought. Even though this was very understandable and he knew this already, they were mere speculations.

Unlike any other person in this world, he was a newcomer. And even though he knew some things, he was mostly clueless about the things that were going on around him.

Because of this, he was forced to make his speculations. One of the many speculations he made was the benefits that cultivating the soul would bring him.

He simply had no idea about his matter but he had made a few speculations. Just from a few sentences, he learnt that the soul can't directly interact with the environment. Then, maybe, it would be able to if one trained it enough!

'The body is born out of the essences of the heavens and the earth, intertwining together to form flesh. Just like any physical thing born from mana, the body has its deficiencies. These deficiencies were the reason why the body wasn't made the main base of one's consciousness.

However, this doesn't mean the body is weak. One can make their body stronger and the way to do it is much more simpler and easier than making the soul stronger.

'To make one's body stronger, the cultivator must get rid of all Mortal deficiencies, making them a true immortal!

'The steps to making one's body stronger are;

1. Creating the base body

2. Creating the ethereal layer

3. Removing all, deficiencies!

These steps might seem simple but that is simply a lie. Cultivating the body requires three main things, a calm mind, an ethereal soul and an enduring spirit.

'This technique just like any other body cultivating technique seeks to help mages grow stronger. The 'Divine Lightning Body Technique' needs one mana to contain only one element to work: Lightning mana!'

"Lightning?" Aiden muttered in shock. "Don't tell me that... "

"Yes, you have the lightning superpower!" Ariel suddenly said confirming Aiden's thought. When he first saw the title of the techniques, he was confused as he saw 'Lightning' in both titles. He ignored it thinking that maybe, the maker of the technique wanted to make them sound cool or something.

He never thought that it would be because he had awakened the lightning element!

"You knew all along?" Aide asked after a while.

"Yes"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Did you ever ask?"

"..."

Aiden was speechless. So she just decided to not tell him because he never asked. What kind of logic was that?

She knew that he needed it but she just decided to stay quiet just because he didn't ask. Aiden couldn't help but sigh, thinking about the kind of problem he had brought onto himself.

'Ariel is going to be annoying to deal with' Aiden thought yet again. Ever since he met Ariel, she had either tricked him or caused some kind of trouble. Even though most of these didn't seem to be hazardous, they were nevertheless annoying.

Aiden turned his attention back to the technique and continued to read it. If he decided to follow, Ariel, he wouldn't get anywhere, so he decided to follow what he could actually gain some benefit from.

'However, one must be warned. The Lightning element is known as the most difficult and dangerous element to master for a reason. Therefore only lightning-ability users are permitted to use this technique.'

'If you aren't a lightning mage, then your death is inevitable. After all, there is no way you can survive the anger of the divine tribulations no matter your strength!'

Aiden felt a shiver run down his spine as he read this. He had no idea what the divine tribulations were. He was even sure Ariel had no idea about what it was but just by reading the technique, he could tell that it would be very unlikely for him to survive if they attacked him.

Aiden inhaled sharply. He was lucky he had the lightning element else, just like any other person, he would be dying if he tried to cultivate this technique. After clearing his mind, he focused back on the technique yet again with determination.

If cultivating the technique when you aren't suitable for it was this dangerous, then cultivating the technique when you are suitable for it with definitely do wonders!

'For Lightning mages, you are truly lucky to encounter this technique. This technique will amplify your abilities by huge margins making your body the strongest it can ever be! This cultivation technique is divided into Nine sections.

'Each section would make your body stronger until it reaches the epitome of its cultivation or maybe even surpassing it! The next page details the method of cultivation for the first stage.'

"Seems like this cultivation technique is truly great. For it to have nine sections, it means it is at the epitome of all cultivation techniques," Aiden sighed and said with emotion. At first, he thought this would be a normal cultivation technique, yet he was proven wrong.

There was a saying that was very common in the cultivation world, 'A Cultivation technique with a single stage was as light as a feather and a cultivation technique with nine stages was as heavy as a nine-polar star.' (A/N: I made it up myself, lol)

Even though this saying was very direct, it said it all. With techniques, the higher the number of stages was, the better it would be. Therefore, a cultivation technique with nine stages in the mortal realm was far greater than a cultivation technique with a single stage in the same mortal realm.

After all, a cultivation technique was the compounding of several spells or methods together. Therefore, the higher the number of spells or techniques, the stronger the technique itself.

"Anyway, let me check the first stage!" Aiden said as he turned to the next page. However, what he saw, made his jaw drop the next moment.

"What the fuck?"
