Are You Trying to Kill me

"What the fuck?!"

Aiden screamed as he stared at the first paragraph of the technique in absolute madness. After shouting though, he realized his mistake and went silent immediately. He had forgotten that he was in his room, at home.

Luckily, no one heard him, else they would have thought that he was truly mad.

He immediately quietened down after a while and stared back at the first paragraph of the technique again. If someone heard his shout and thought he was mad, then they would immediately take it back when they saw what he was seeing.

In fact, they might even scream louder than him. It was well written clear and concise with no veil to hide the truth. In the first paragraph of the book was something that would make any man's heart quiver due to sheer anger:

'The First stage of the Divine Lightning Body Technique involves only one thing, enduring the dissection of the first divine tribulation. The only way to cultivate this is by enduring the first calamity of hell: The divine tribulation of dissection!'

Aiden eyes turned red from anger alone. Wasn't it just now that the writer of this technique was warning everyone about the divine tribulations? So why did have to be that they have to endure the divine tribulations to advance?

Aiden felt conflicted. When he first heard of the technique from Ariel, he thought it would be extremely great but it turns out it was just a technique that tried its best to kill its owner!

After all, what kind of technique would order you to endure something that it just warned you against? No technique would do that unless it was trying to kill you. As this thought popped into Aiden's head, another thought popped up too making him turn his attention to Ariel,

"Are you trying to kill me?" he asked unperturbed and strangely calm.

"What do you mean by that?" Ariel asked in anger. Just like Aiden, she had no idea about what the technique was about. She only remembered it recently and decided to give it to Aiden. In fact, she didn't even know what the content of the technique was.

Now, Aiden was trying to blame her for giving him a bad technique? He was even claiming that she wanted to kill him so how could she not be angry. If she knew that there was something wrong with the technique, she wouldn't have given it to Aiden at all.

Maybe, Aiden didn't know, but she knew it. If Aiden was to die, she would also follow up and die with him. Why would she wish for mutual destruction if she wanted to survive?

"You didn't know?" Aiden asked yet again in surprise. He thought that Ariel knew of the technique and intentionally gave it to him to harm him.

However, judging from her reaction, you could tell that she had absolutely no idea about the technique itself. Of course, Aiden hadn't only verified this through her initial reaction but also through the 'link'.

From the 'link', he learnt that Ariel had no idea about the technique it self. She just gave it to him thinking it was beneficial.

If she really had no idea about the technique then there was only one way to figure out the person who wanted his demise: the source.

"Where did you get the technique?" Aiden asked as be stood up from his bed. His actions were casual without any hint of restrain and even though he nearly cultivated a wrong technique that could easily kill him, he was strangely calm.

"I just remembered it!" Ariel said making Aiden frown.

"Remembered?" Aiden asked.

"Have you forgotten that I list my memories?" Ariel snorted. This was something she didnt want to talk about right now.

"Uhn, I remember," Aiden said, "You told me the first time I met you..."

Aiden clearly remember. There was no way he would forget something like that.

Yet if Ariel really just remembered it, didn't it mean that it was almost impossible to find how she got the technique?

"Honestly, I think you should try it," Ariel suddenly said after a while. Aiden just frowned in displeasure. Who wouldn't? When they are told to cultivate a technique they were somehow sure would kill them?

Ariel on the other hand didn't care about Aiden's displeasure at all. She continued without pause,

"Truth is, you didn't even finish reading before you stopped and decided to leave it alone. You should at least read why the technique wants you to do that."

Aiden eyes widened slightly from shock. How could he have forgotten this?

Indeed, he had decided to stop reading the technique the moment he read the first paragraph. After all, this was the first paragraph for God's sake!

Initially, he was going to shut Ariel up but after hearing what she said, he decided to give the book a try.

Sitting down again, he decided to give the technique another try. Opening the technique yet agian, he directly skipped the first paragraph going to the second paragraph immediately.

He wanted to see the justification the next paragraph would give to the first one; and he got it. However, it came out as much of a surprise than anything else.

'Hah, I am sure most of the eligible people to cultivate this technique would stop by now and lose a great opportunity. Some might even declare me to be mad just because I told them to cultivate something I warned them against.'

"...." Aiden read speechlessly. It seems like the maker of this technique knew what would happened exactly. Nevertheless, he continued to read along, not wanting to miss the 'great opportunity' the maker of the technique was talking about.

'For those who choose to remain, it means you understood my earlier implications. I never said this technique was going to kill you. I only said it would kill those without the lightning superpower. This means that even though anyone without the lightning superpower would die when they cultivate this technique, those with lightning superpower would be definitely able to endure the Divine tribulations.

For Lightning user with great talent, it was definitely POSSIBLE!'

"...." Aiden blinked in disbelief realising he had misinterpreted the words of the maker of the technique!
