Chapter 16; I'll Act Like A Child.
"Jonathan, what are you doing? Do you want him to continue beating you?"
"Mother, please stay out of this, I don't want you you getting injured" Johnathan was kind enough to push his mother out of the way so that she doesn't enter the ruff of the men.
"But Jonathan… John… please I no matter what it is, We don't have to go this far as being physical" she said before she finally stood up and gave them some space, she knew that they had something to talk about.
"I told you to leave everything to me, I will handle it, but what did you do? you made a fuss in the company, and had to make yourself taken to the police station?
Do you know the implications of that? If not because the DPO thought earlier and gave me a call before filing a law suit against you, I can help you later but it will already soil your image in the public and it will be hard for you to be a Baron then, is that what you want?"
Johnathan was quiet for a little while, what his father said made total sense, he acted so irrationally and impulsively without thinking about the outcome of his actions.
He had always been the calm and quiet one who stayed in the family and done everything his father asked him to do with gladness.
He was ready to take over the Baron Enterprise but that only became a dream when James came by.
He was just angry and felt suffocated, he didn't want to to just seat back and do nothing while Janes enjoys everything made for him.
And the worst part was that he didn't know why his parents Yola rated him so much and were always on his beck, he really felt cheated.
"But dad, tell me the truth, if he is really my brother then why didn't he stay with us all these while, why did he suddenly come back and turn our lives upside down dad? Non of you are talking, I still don't understand" Johnathan said looking very painted that it touched his father's heart.
John also didn't like seeing his son suffer, but what can he do? He wasn't planning it to end that way for the only son he knows.
He was also planning to take back fir him what he deserved, but his actions just now irritated the old man that he refused to remember that he was the only child he regarded as his son, Jonathan Baron, the Young Master of the Baton family.
He forgot all that when he remembered the boy was sent to the police station and he also soiled his name.
If there's anything that John hates is anything that would hurt or tarnish his image in the public.
"Dad why don't you say anything?" Johnathan bellowed in his father to lay his ficus back on him.
"Because, done things can't be explained to children" Johnathan gave him this one sentence, not willing to engage in an argument with his son again, he decided to head back to his study room and make a call.
"Dad have I now become a child? Because you gave another adult other than me right? It seems what I did earlier was the right thing to do, five, I'll act like a child since you call me one anyway, but don't try to get mad at me because this time, you pushed me.
Jonathan stood from his seat and was heading back towards the exits of the building when Master Baron nodded at the security men who came in with Johnathan earlier.
They nodded back at him and took position in front of the exist.
Jonathan ignored them and wanted to walk right through them when the guards held him back and restricted him from leaving the door.
"Father, what is this? " He turned to look at his father who was on the foot of the stairs ready to his study. He turned and looked at Johnathan.
"If you want to act like a child, then you'll be treated like one, from now on, you'll not leave this house until I give the green light" John said to his son and then looked behind him to the guards that had miraculously increased in number in the slightest time.
"By all mean necessary, do not let him live the house until I say otherwise". With that, Johnathan turned around and continued walking up the stairs ignoring the rumble the men and his son were having or the kid pleas of his son not to do this to him.
But he was not in the mood to make any amends.
Jonathan fought back against the security men trying to get his freedom, but it wasn't easy for him, the men were heavily built men with so much assistance.
What's more? His father had told them to use whatever means necessary to hinder him from going away and that was what they did exactly.
And since Johnathan was not collaborating with them, they could only forcefully lift him up and take him to his room, then they locked the room with him inside.
That way, it was easy for them to control his movements in the house.
Jonathan was so angry that he hit all the antiques and expensive wrist watches in laying on his dressing mirror to the floor in frustration, but all of that yielded to nothing.
It slinky made him feel worse more so because he was aware that his father's study was not far from his room and he could hear him creating the mess but he still chose to ignore him and hinder his mother from entering the room.
"Let him calm down first" he told her.
Melissa couldn't do anything but plead for her son's freedom.
"This is all you're fault woman, get out of here" John didn't hesitate to use that phrase on her again, that was all she had been saying ever since James came, she couldn't help but feel guilty about it.
"What can I do to change things?"
