Opening Ceremony

It was already midnight when Lander arrived at the Wyvern Capital. And as to avoid any attention, Lander thought that it was better to land somewhere with no people. So, he pointed an open space to the dragon.

Upon landing, Lander smiled and patted the head of the dragon. After that, it flew away and Lander bowed while it flapped its wings on the sky, "Thank You!"

Arriving at the entrance, the guards saw him and stopped him, "You can only enter during daytime."

"Then kindly tell Lord Kazo that Lander is here," Lander asked politely.

"How dare an outcast order us around," One of the guards was angry upon noticing Lander's aura. Outcasts can also be recognized through their auras, and only elites who are (1.) Knights can notice them.

These guards were not present when Lander made a scene in here. Obviously, these guards are what people on Earth calls night shift workers.

The guard who spoke suddenly drew his sword out when he saw that Lander wasn't bulging from his position, "Move out or else I wouldn't even blink my eyes in ending your life in here."

"Then come," Lander said as he used the basic stance of Muay Thai.

The other guards also drew their weapons out; even the guards from the top of the wall did the same. But Lander wasn't afraid as he was the one who moved first punching the chest of the first guard who drew his sword out. He didn't stop as he pulled the head of the guard and gave his face a knee kick.

After that, the guards surrounded Lander and the archers from the top of the tower were already pointing their arrows at him.

But for Lander, it wasn't so bad as long as he make use of the guard as his meat shield from the arrows. One by one, the guards surrounding him made their way through him. But Lander was not the least bothered as he was defending and evading their attacks, sometimes giving a counterattack.

Lander's plan was not to fight them all through out; he was waiting for their defense to crumble before he could run towards the Capital. And his waiting was not in vain when the guards who were near the gate made their way towards him. He patiently waited for a while before he pushed the guard whom he was using as his meat shield towards the other guards and ran to the entrance. He was blocked by the two guards but he slid on the ground and kicked the private area of one guard while he threw his knife towards the other one.

Despite being on the verge of success, the archers threw their arrows and were able to hit his shoulder and he felt the arrows penetrated his flesh but he didn't stop as he continued running. He broke the arrow that hit him and dashed with all his strength. The guards didn't notice that he was hit by an arrow.

Knowing that Lander was an outcast, they thought that Lander went to the suburbs where the outcasts live. But in reality, Lander ran towards Lord Kazo's manor. While running, he was feeling his upper body getting paralyzed as if it can't move. Also, the blood loss was weakening him little by little.

Eventually, Lander reached the gate of Lord Kazo's manor and the guards there saw him and stopped him but when they saw Lander's face, they didn't stop him and even helped him enter. One of the guards woke Lord Kazo while Lander already fell unconscious.

Lander woke up when he felt someone licking his face, which was Grey. And noticed his shoulder was thoroughly bandaged. Also, he noticed a lot of people were staring at him.

"How are you feeling?" The one who spoke was Elder Bobby.

Lander tried to move his shoulder which was hit by the arrow and felt a pain, "Not good."

"Mmmh! Actually it was quite good that you have experienced severe poisoning from before which was mentioned by your Master that you were able to survive our Death Paralysis Poison." A middle aged woman said as she smiled beautifully. And she was quite the matured woman that was being shown in those matured videos that was being loved by a lot of Earth people.

"And mind you, that in the history of the Wyvern Capital, you were the first person to able to survive our Death Paralysis Poison." The middle aged woman continued.

"So did you complete your mission young man?" The Druid interrupted.

Lander tossed him his storage ring, "You should only get the things you need and also the letter that the old man wishes to give you before returning my ring."

Then Lander noticed the other people beside those he knew "Aren't these guys the guards who didn't let me enter last night?"

Hearing his words, the guards got frightened and even felt crying upon hearing his next words, "If I were you Lord Kazo you better find another kind of guards who can protect this Capital properly. Imagine, I was just alone last night and have no capability to use magic yet but I was able to escape from them despite being surrounded. Also they were using their own magic. But I admired them as they at least tried; they were able to injure me quite a bit."

Lander continued smirking, "If people heard of my actions last night, then I would become their idol. Just imagine how many evil people will follow my footsteps, a hundred? Nope, I think a thousand or can be a hundred thousand."

"Your words are right young man, and I have already decided to strip these guards from their positions. Anyway, I think you better prepare because the Opening Ceremony will begin in an hour." Lord Kazo replied with assurance also reminding him of the event he needed to partake in.

But before Lander was about to move, the Druid read a part of the letter, "I have already requested the young man whom you sent to find me a cook and a maid. And I need your help to send them to me in about two months as what the young man told me. So for now, let them have a slave contract with you before I can have them."

After that, the Druid searched the storage ring again to look for the other thing he required Lander to get, "Wait? You were actually able to acquire five plant of this Golden Metamorphosis Plant?"

But he was more shocked when he saw the energizing stone that the old lady was telling him to get, "You? How could you actually have these Energy Soul Stone? And you even acquired five of it?"

"Wait! Even this Lightning Stone? How did you acquire this?" The Druid was thoroughly shocked. Even the others there who have great backgrounds were astounded. A mere outcast was able to gather five Golden Metamorphosis Plant and five Energy Soul Stone which were very rare to find. What's more being able to acquire a Lightning Stone that could cost an entire manor, it was simply unbelievable!

Lander just shrugged, "Guess I got lucky then."

"So Elder Druid, where's my pet and messenger?" Lander asked.

"Wait young man, how about you sell these Energy Soul Stone and Lightning Stone to me?" The Druid asked.

"Absolutely not, those Energy Soul Stone are needed by an old woman to save her grandchild. And as for that Lightning Stone, that old man who sent that letter gave it to me," Lander explained.

The old man sighed and have no other choice, "Then how about these other Golden Metamorphosis Plant?"

"Huh? Eh.. Then you can just have it all, as long as you gave me the things I need." Lander proclaimed.

"Since you're so generous then I'll make your mount climb up to Rank C level one." The old man said smiling.

After that, the old man waved his hand and two kinds of pills were already in his hand, "This green pill is used to level up a beast from Rank D to level 10 of the same rank and then this blue pill is for evolving a beast from Rank D to C. These pills are only made by us Druids and these aren't for sale in any market. But why I'm giving it to you? Because this plant can awaken the innate bloodline of my pet awakening it's true potential. Besides, you gave me five plants and the rate of metamorphosing would be greater."

Acquiring the pills, the old man told Lander to drip his blood into those pills before giving it to Grey to consume.

After eating the green pill, Grey suddenly shone brightly that made all the people inside the manor to cover their eyes. After the light dimmed down, Grey became Rank D level 10 and its height also changed, he was now a 6 feet tall wolf.

Lander was amazed and he gave him the other pill. Just like what happened when he ate the green pill, Grey gave off another bright light.

From 6 feet tall, Grey was now 8 feet tall and its fur gave off a sparkling radiance. Lander was really amazed with his mouth wide open.

Grey was also full of delight. He can feel his body getting stronger. The Druid however was confused, "How is this possible?"

"What?" Elder Bobby asked.

"How can this beast be able to adjust easily? It needed at least a two whole months to be able to adjust but it didn't even take a second for it? How strong is this beast body?" The Druid pondered.

"Actually, ever since I started training this beast, I was amazed at its capability. It actually managed to last 5 seconds after I used my 100 percentage of aura. Even this young girl lasted for two seconds." Lord Kazo explained having a little bit of jealousy towards Grey and Yan Yan.

"Still! It doesn't mean that this wolf could adjust that early," The Druid remarked.

"Ever since I acquired Grey, he has been running daily until he pass out so that could explain why," Lander butted in.

"What do you mean pass out?" The Druid asked.

"Well, until it can no longer move," Lander casually blurted out.

"This wolf has been doing that for an entire month? It was still a cub and yet it experienced that kind of hellish training?" The Druid was dumbfounded. He still couldn't believe that a cub could endure that much. It was simply ridiculous. He even thought, 'Why is it the cub didn't resist that kind of activity?'

"Anyway Elder Druid, how about my pet and messenger?" Lander asked.

The Druid came back to his self and stopped for a while communicating to his beast. After that he moved out of the manor and returned with an eagle on his shoulder and a little dragon on his hand, "This Eagle is your messenger beast and a Rank D level one while this dragon would be your pet and it's a Rank E level one beast. Unfortunately, I can't help you evolve these two."

Lander was glad and he can see that those two beasts were unwilling to follow him. Then Grey growled at them that made them scared. Lander didn't mind their unwillingness because he will make them change their view of him. So he then gave them a drop of blood and after tasting his blood, the beasts shone a very bright light, making them evolve. The Rank E dragon became Rank D level one and the eagle became Rank D level 10.

The two beasts were of course delighted and the Druid was astounded again, "How could this be possible? I don't even feel an elven blood in you yet you could make them evolve? Or is it possible? No! That's absolutely impossible, those race were already extinct ever since the beginning of the outcasts!"

"You mean the Archaic Race?" Elder Bobby asked.

"I don't know what you Elders are talking about but I shall take my leave," Lander excused.

"Ah, Lord Kazo, if you could please let those guards stay in your manor for the meantime as I will train one of them to be that old man's cook and as for his maids, if you could fetch me Elizaveta and the woman. Also, I might need that guard again." Lander asked politely.

After that, Lander went on his way to the Wyvern Academy leaving Yan Yan behind to train while he rode on his buddy, Grey while the eagle and dragon was following behind unwilling but they don't have a choice.

He then arrived at the entrance of the Academy.
