Most people don't choose reincarnation. Reincarnation finds their way to them. Perhaps they did something great in their life. Or maybe truck-sama wasn't looking where it was going. But without fail, those who reincarnate are destined for something great. A new life where everything changes for the better. But... Reincarnation isn't always the greatest thing. Sometimes you just draw the short end of the stick. Di Tou just happens to have drawn the shortest stick. Pulled out of his life randomly. Taken by a crazy old eccentric man not as a disciple, but as a body double?! And a janitor body double no less?! Grasping a system to find... It's a JANITOR SYSTEM!? Truly, how unlucky can one get?
But could it really be so simple?
Thinking back, Di Tou thought for a moment, and found the words appeared on the scroll in front of him.
"A clear heart leads to a clear mind. By seeing through yourself, you can see through all things. First focus on the self. See through all things internally. Then see through the world, and understand its profundities. An unobstructed view is a rare thing, indeed."
Thinking back, he hadn't even really accomplished the first step! He had taken the process of seeing through himself as the end product, and crudely used it to spy for his own Spiritual Sense.
Thinking back now, Di Tou really felt that he was foolish. Wasn't this a classic example of an animal caring more about the wrapping paper than the contents of a gift?
