Thinking this far, Di Tou shook his head and let out a chuckle as he sunk deeper into his seat. Taking a sip of tea, he enjoyed the sound of the quiet nighttime atmosphere and continued flipping through a scroll and reading its contents.
To be honest, his current life wasn't bad. In terms of living standards, although he was missing out on a great number of modern amenities, the square footage of his current place, which could only be considered middle end in the Academy, was already a great deal larger than what he had when he was working nine-nine-six. He had a full manor for goodness sake! Even the most luxurious apartment, spanning two floors and the top of a building, could hardly compare if one just looked at land and space occupied. It might not even occupy the space of a good courtyard around these parts.
