He cursed inwardly when he heard the thunder outside. The little light was peaking through the barely opened door as it went off, followed by the bang of the door shutting closed. "For God's sake, please tell me you didn't lock it.." Rain jumped up hearing the male voice and, without anything to hold onto, lost her footing falling on her ass. "Ouch!" Her soft voice made Ace realise that it was a girl. He had hoped that it was not one of those attention-seeking girls he normally saw outside. He hated such girls. No, scratch that, he hated every girl. To have feelings for someone, spending all their time and money on them, making her the center of the world, he chuckled and even pitied the thought. He thought that was impossible for him or rather it was something he would never want. ******************************************* Why to read the book? *Relation advices *Tips for girls on how to get a guy *Unique love story *Steamy scenes Note : the image in the cover doesn't belong to me. Race II

As Ace climbed in and started his engine, the girls around him started jumping and squealing. Linkin Park blared at a deafening level from his speakers.

He revved the engine a few times to get the crowd going, a playful grin on his lips.

The Mustang pulled up onto the track, waiting for the competitor to join.

The racer sat at the backside, and Rain slammed her door shut after sinking into the cool leather. The impressive car was almost entirely black on the inside and she immediately felt chills on her arms. The caring of its power with its cave-like feel: cool, dark, animalistic.

"The turns are tight. Tighter than they look. The idea is to get there first, or fall behind to go after."

Rain nodded. Her eyes stared straight ahead, ready to get going as her foot anxiously tapped.

"At each left, let off the gas before you turn, and then accelerate after you've straightened out. If you feel like you need to apply the brake on the turn then do it but as minimally as possible. Don't accelerate until you've

rounded the turn. You'll spin out."

She nodded again.

"Hit the gas in between turns. On the last leg, hit it hard."

"I got it." Rain looked over to him. "I can do this."

He didn't look like he believed her, but he stopped anyway. "Buckle up"

Turning the key, she backed into position as the crowd departed to the sidelines. The vibration through her thighs made her center tingle

The smell of fuel and tires permeated the air, while the engine's rubble coursed through his legs. Ace sat comfortably, wearing a stone face, waiting for the call.

He glanced at the opponent's car and could only make out the eyes, eyes behind the helmet glass. He had seen them somewhere but he couldn't remember where.

"Ready" "Set" "Go"

Slamming on the gas, Rain peeled over the dirt road and took off.

As the music filled the moment, her hands pushed against the steering wheel, so

that her back dug into the seat. With her arms full of tension, she focused ont the road ahead.

*Shit! The car had a lot of power.*

The first turn was coming up fast, she didn't know if the other car was next to her or behind her. All she knew was that it wasn't in front of her, and she didn't care about anything else.

Her thighs, dampened with sweat, grated across the seat as she lifted he leg to push in the clutch. She lightly applied the brakes in preparation for rounding the corner. As she let off the brake and made the first turn, the rear started to slide. She quickly steered to the right as the car slid left, to keep from skidding out.

Dust clouded the track, and her heart was pounding. She stepped down on the clutch and shifted back into third gear. As her speed picked up she shifted immediately into fourth, she caught sight of the otherc car in my rearview mirror.

It was not far away.

Ace hadn't expected the other racer to be this good, so he had let him go ahead at the first turn. He quickly kicked in the sixth gear bypassing the fifth altogether.

Both cars were neck to neck.

As the next turn came, both of them took their foot off the gas.

More dust flew around them, but they recovered quickly and slammed on the gas again.

Coming up on the last turn, Rain pulled back behind Ace, but she wasn't slowing down. As Ace rounded the last corner, he skidded further to the edge while Rain took the inside. Both cars recovered and were neckt to the neck as they neared the finish line

The cars finished so close, that no one knew who won. As the crowd gathered around the cars, Rain sneaked at the backside and the racer sat back at the front.

The crowd erupted with joy hearing Ace's name as the winner, but Ace's focus was somewhere else. He wanted to see the racer who almost defeated him, moreso he wanted to see those eyes.

"Was it fun?" Emma asked as she brought back Rain, sneaking her out in the crowd.

"It was amazing" Rain and Emma both jumped with joy but there was something troubling Rain...his eyes...she had seen them.

As the racer step out of the car to congratulate Ace, Ace noticed his eyes, those weren't the same, those weren't like
