How to Kiss

The letter rested on Rain's lap, as she looked out of the glass door. She didn't know whom the problem belonged to, but still, the emotions conveyed with the ink, ran through her nerves. 

She had been alone for a long time, so most of her problems were only hers and she preferred them that way, but what if someone walks in her life one day. Even though they don't promise her everything, was it an unspoken word, that they will try to share her misery. 

There was only one thought in her mind. 

She wanted to share every moment of happiness which was given to her with her loved ones, but when it came to sadness, could she ever open up? 

She read the letter again, there was a fragrance to it, a paper was torn from a new book, the words little smushed, as if...as if the person was crying when they wrote it... probably feeling alone.

What was it about guys.....

They like when you smile when you are happy, but the second a tear rolls down your eye, they get so scared, as if they have seen a ghost. 

But this...this problem was not about what to tell the guy, this was what she should tell the girl.

Relationships are tough. That's why there were only a few successful and happy ones. It takes a lot to hold it together, coz right now, she wanted to write " Dump him" but that was just her emotions talking, not her logic.

"Dear Troubled Girl, 

Let me tell you, finding someone whom you like is easy, but if that someone likes you back, it's a miracle. 

This is only the first step and there are so many steps you have to take. 

So let's start 

Why he couldn't help you

1. You expect him to agree with you 

Sometimes when we tell them our problems, we expect the guys to agree with us. But they are rational beings and unless it is told to them that you just need their support, they might not do it.

2. You get bogged down in the details.

When you ask a solution, guys don't wanna go into history, they just wanna solve it quickly, so why not tell him your problem first and then later fill in the details.

3. He's doing something else.

It might be possible that he is playing games or watching a movie when you ask him, which obviously won't help you. So why not wait till he is free?

4. You forget to pause

Don't keep on babbling. Give him time to understand what's going on.

Last but not least: 

You expect him to be interested in everything you're interested in.

So maybe you had a fight with your school friend, or maybe there is a new twist in your favorite show, but maybe he is not interested in that.

We have different groups for that. We have our families, friends, colleagues. If you think that your guy is not apt for asking the problem, you could always ask your friends.

Give every new thing in a relationship, a little time and then decide." 

Rain folded the letter and kept it back in the box.

Now, why can't she be this calm when it comes to Reid. 

Maybe Emma was right. Maybe she needs to kiss Reid. 

But first....she had to learn how to.

She grabbed her bag and sneaked out of the room, waving bye to Emma, the guy not insightful. 

Damm, she must have freaked him out.

She said a little prayer and hoped that none of the two guys were at home.

She still had time till they were in school. This might be the only few hours, she might have the chance to learn.

Not even bothering to change, Rain sat in her bed and took out her phone. The screen was still up. 

She could feel the elephants dancing in her stomach again. It would be a lie if she said that she had never noticed Reid's lips coz she had. Multiple times. Every time he was not looking at her, she would take a peek. 

In the morning, when they sat so close to each other, all she could think was what if he picked her up and sat her down in his lap. 

And then brushed her hair, bringing his face closer to her and...

Well, Sebastian would have to disappear from this made-up dream sequence and there would be only her and Reid. 

But...

She wanted her first kiss to be perfect, so Reid would kiss her again and again...

There was a constant smile on her lips as Rain rolled in her bed. Giggling to herself she played the video.

"Hey guys" 

Rain quickly turned down the volume and turned on the captions.

"So let's first practice with kissing on our hands" 

Rain brought her hand closer and puckered her lips.

"Don't pucker your lips from far away, first move closer to him" 

Rain nodded and started again

"Look in his eyes and bring your face closer" 

Rain gazed at her hand as if it was Reid and giggled again.

"Don't open your mouth and just suck on the lips like the next thing you gonna do it, is eat them" 

Damm, it did look awful.

"Another tip, don't kiss right after eating, since your mouth is gonna smell" 

Thank god, I didn't know it, Rain thought

"Start with little pecks" 

Bringing her lips closer to her hand, Rain brushed her lips softly once and then started giving it pecks, small and soft.

"And then start to kiss more, giving small pecks to each lip individually" 

By now, Rain had closed her eyes and was giving a peck on her hand, a little higher and a little lower

*Mwah* *Mwah* 

The back of the hand where her lips were making had already started getting wet.

She needed a new surface, something dry and she looked below.

She could try on the blanket and change them later.

"Okay Rain, look into his eyes" 

She could feel her legs going jello just by the thought of it and the nervous laugh, she knew she had to do something about it.

"Move closer" she had her hands on both sides of the surface and moved her face, a little close

"Now ki-" 

"What the hell are you doing?" Sebastian was standing at the door which Rain had forgotten to lock. 

"Planks?"
