Ch 9 How I Lived

Yeah, I know. I left off on a bad note. But I just needed to stop for a second. I'm fine now, so don't worry.

After I killed the Hybrids, I finished securing the hospital. And don't worry, I gave the Hybrids a proper burial.

Since the town was now filled with Hybrids, I had to stay in the hospital for some time.

When the food was running low, I started to experiment with a Hybrid that I had recently killed. Mind you, this was almost a year since the first mist. At this point... I hate to say it, but I was starting to get used to my new life in hell.

After a few failed attempts, and almost dying several times, I finally figured out how to safely turn a Hybrids dead carcuss into food.

But that was just the start of my problems.

Due to the lack of humans, the factories on the world started getting out of hand. Factories, such as oil and nuclear factories started to fail as there were no humans to maintain the factories.

And yeah, I might know how to work a shotgun, and I recently learned how to craft/steal bullets, I have absolutely no knowledge on how a factory works.

Now, you might think that the factory problem isn't such a big deal. I mean, I live in the middle of nowhere, so I should be safe right?

Wrong!

Just a few days ago, I hear a factory explode. Just, a loud BOOM! in the distance, and a large cloud of smoke. This had been happening a lot over the past few years, and this started to pollute the air and the water.

I got used to the air, but the polluted water was a problem.

Oh, shit.

Sorry, another factory exploded. Guess it's a good time to test out my new invention. I designed it to trap the pollution.
