Camp

Going down the slide, I was greeted with the beautiful sight of a lush forest, with a gigantic tree situated in the center. The air smelled of grass, earth, and trees, while I could see some crystal clear rivers slicing through the gorgeous landscape.

Getting to the bottom, I took in a deep breath of the fresh air before making my way over to Sigrid, snaking my arm around her waist.

Looking down at her, I smiled as she jumped before moving slightly closer to me, her neck a deep crimson.

"Alright, we'll set up camp over on those hills there, rest for the day, before going down into the rest of the Middle Floors. We have a big day tomorrow, so try and get some rest!"

I watched in amusement as Anakitty glared at me before turning with a huff, leading the way towards a empty hill a short walk away.

"So, care to show me how to pitch a tent, Miss Sigrid~?"

The dirty blonde haired girl nodded her head profusely, before trying to escape my arms.

Holding her closer, I leaned down and said "Come now, I need someone to support me on my way to the hill~ I took quite the hit, remember?"

I watched as she looked up at me, her green eyes flickering between my side and my face. Seeing me smiling down at her, she wrapped her arm around my waist, blushing profusely before slowly walking towards the hill.

Enjoying her warmth and shy attitude, I looked around Rivira with interest, taking in the sights of a forest. Having grown up in Orario all my life, I never got to see nature like this. The parks throughout the city were small, and without a pass I couldn't exit the city without running the risk of not being able to reenter. So, my experience with nature was limited to small parks and the Dungeon, mainly Floors 10, 11, and 12. However, those were dreary and foggy, nothing like this beautiful landscape before me.

I held Sigrid closer to me, enjoying the breeze and warmth of another person on my skin.

Reaching the hill, I let Sigrid go before sitting on the ground near her, watching in interest as she went about setting up a tent with practiced ease.

"Have you been on many expeditions before, Sigrid?"

She looked over at me, nodding.

"I... I have been on six before this one, Ni-Nikoletta..."

Hearing her voice trail off at the end, I chuckled before saying "Don't worry about formalities, Sigrid. I care little for them."

She sent a smile over to me, easing up a bit, before returning to setting the tent up.

"How many can fit in there?"

"Oh... about three people? Why?"

Getting off the ground, I walked to stand behind her, whispering "Because I want to share a tent with just you~"

Shivering, she looked up at me, her face crimson, before nodding her head.

"I-I think th-that should be fine..."

Chuckling again, I returned to my spot, admiring her thin figure as she set up the tent.

"Have you no shame? Making a small girl do all your work for you?"

Sighing, I looked over my shoulder to see Anakitty glaring down at me.

"Listen, I was the one to kill the Goliath, and got hit pretty good doing it. So, I am recovering right now. Besides, Sigrid would ask me for help if she needed it, right Sigrid?"

I watched as the short blonde nodded furiously, before quickly looking away from Anakitty's glare.

Getting up, I nodded my head away from Sigrid, before walking towards an empty spot.

Hearing Anakitty behind me, I got far enough away before turning to look at her.

"Listen, I don't know what you have against me, but let's make one thing clear; you need me more than I need you. After all, I can afford to quit the expedition; you can't. So, let's talk this out like adults, and not squabble like children, yeah?"

Anakkity growled, before taking a deep breath.

"I don't like you. I really, really dislike you. Not only are you a murderer, but Raul... Dammit, why the hell is he looking at you!?"

I looked at the ceiling, taking in the various crystals as I sighed in annoyance.

"Listen, I don't know if you are dense or what; I like women. I have no intention of doing anything to that halfwit, so don't worry, he's all yours."

Anakitty's jaw dropped, before blinking a few times.

"Wei-Wait. You like women? So is Sigrid..?"

I sighed again, before saying "Yes, I was hoping to bed her. Problem?"

Anakitty blushed, looking away.

"I- No... Wait... No..."

"Alright, finally, some advice, as a... peace offering of sorts. Raul is the kind of man to never, and I mean never, take the lead. He also seems like the perfect target for someone like me, if they liked men."

"Someone... like you?"

Seeing her tilt her head in confusion, I grinned widely before leaning down towards her ears, whispering "Someone who likes to make their partner scream~ Oh, he seems like a perfect partner, with how good his voice is~"

Anakitty took a step back, her face scarlet as she stuttered "Yo-Your a sadist!?"

I chuckled, nodding.

"Yeah, I love when my partner is writhing under me... nothing makes me feel better than the sounds of their pleasure and pain meshing together~"

Anakitty swallowed, before looking towards the ground. Seeing her blush return with a vengeance, I chuckled again before adding "So, my advice to you is; make a move soon. After all, there are plenty of women like me, who love dominating their partners. And Raul fits that bill to a tee... You need to make him yours before someone snatches him from you~"

She looked back up at me, her black eyes wide, before she narrowed them.

The fur on her tail and ears stood straight up, and her eyes glowed with anger, thankfully not directed at me.

"Snatches him..."

She growled, before turning towards Raul. As she started stalking towards him, I shouted "Good luck~"

I laughed loudly as she waved her hand, before stomping towards him. Turning, I made my way back to Sigrid, looking at the completed tent in amazement.

"Wow, that was fast..."

Sigrid looked towards me, getting up from where she had driven the final stake into the earth.

"Oh... Well, I'm not good at much besides supporting things like this..."

With a 'Hmm~' I moved beside her, opening the flap of the tent.

Although the outside looked small, it was a decent size, with more than enough space for two people.

As of now, there was just a tarp laid out on the floor, with our packs and gear organized on the side. Seeing the pots and pans, as well as some small vials filled with spices, I looked back at Sigrid.

"You can cook too?"

Nodding, I smiled at her and said "Whoever marries you is one lucky person..."

Her green eyes went wide, and she looked away as her face became flushed. Chuckling, I entered the tent, laying down on the floor.

With a light moan, I slowly started stretching my tense muscles, enjoying the feeling of letting them loosen up.

Looking back towards the entrance, I watched as Sigrid entered as well, looking at me with a conflicted gaze.

"What's wrong?"

Jumping slightly, she looked over at me and shook her head, saying "No-Nothing..."

Sighing, I sat up, looking into her eyes. Shuffling side to side, she eventually muttered "Well, you said you were still in pain... so... did you want me to put some ointment on your wounds?"

I grinned at her, before getting up.

"Why don't we take a bath first, hmm? Then you can patch me right up~"

She looked towards the floor, before nodding her head slightly.

Feeling my body start to heat up, I scooped up my spear before looking at her.

"Grab some towels and whatever else you need. I'll ask Anakitty about where we should bathe..."

I tore my eyes away from her shivering body, exiting the tent before I could pounce on her.

Taking in a deep breath, I calmed myself down before moving towards the largest tent, which had a Loki Familia Standard outside of it.

Ignoring the guard, I entered the tent to find Anakitty looming over Raul, her hands on her hips as Raul shivered in fear.

"Hey, Anakitty. Where's a good, private place to bathe?"

Hearing my voice, I smiled when I saw the sadistic glee in her eyes, her lips drawn in a smirk.

"Oh... About a mile past our tent, that way."

Looking at the direction she pointed, I nodded my head before saying "Good luck~"

Ignoring Raul's whimpers, I exited the tent, waving off the guard before gently grabbing Sigrid's wrist. Seeing her look at me with a slight desire in her eyes, I grinned down at her and said "I found a spot~"
