Ingrained Memories

"Good for nothing!" He struck Anais with a belt, "All you do is eat food and laze around, not doing any work!" Anais had bruises and scraped all around his body as he kept his head tucked into his knees.

"Enough!" A female figure held back the man.

"Shut up you good for nothing whore!" The man get out of her reach, hitting her with the belt.

Anais kept his head tucked in, as tears trickled down his cheeks.

"How dare you!" The woman shouted in retaliation, slapping the man across his face.

The man looked down in anger, "That's it!" The man pulled out a knife from his pocket and started to stab the woman, "DIE!" He aggressively stabbed the woman.

Anais didn't look at the bloody scene, just staying in his small tiny corner.

"Anais! Anais! Wake up!" A voice called out from within Anais' mind, "You have to get up! You have to fulfill our dream!" Anais awoke, the sun was glaring onto him. His clothes soaked in blood and his hands littered with blisters. A large ring of goblins surrounded Anais, not wanting to tread onto the large pool of blood that surrounded Anais.

"God damn goblins." Anais cracked a smirk as he stood up, chains wrapping around his hand. He wielded a chain with a blade at the end of it as his main weapon, "DIE!" He swung the chain in a circle around his body, slicing the goblins in half. Anais' eyes blinded by rage, he rampaged the goblins, swinging his blade recklessly. A goblin got ahold onto the chain, climbing towards Anais. Anais reeled the blade closer to him, smashing it downwards to send the goblin flying off his chain, "Let there be embers!" Anais smirked as his entire surrounded lit up in flames, burning the goblins to a crisp.

"Enough!" A voice echoed through his head, that of his mother's.

Anais stopped in his tracks, a ring of fire around Anais. He looked at his hand, a pool of blood had pooled on his hand, reflecting his face. The reflection lit up by the flames, his reflection was not his own but of his father's, "Deadbeat!" Anais crushed his hand and sent the blood flying out of his hand, picking up the chain, "Nothings holding me back again."

"The exam ends in 20 minutes! We have to hurry!" Anais overheard another group of students, "C'mon."

Anais struck the ground with his chain, whipping him into the air, jumping over the large wave of goblins. "5 versus 1!" Anais bit his hand, filling his mouth with blood.

"Someone's here!" A student cried out from within the forest, Anais jumping out of the trees and spitting blood into their mouth, temporarily blinding them, "Behind you!" The student shouted out as Anais wrapped his chain around his neck, bringing him down to the ground.

"Take this!" Another student said from behind Anais, "Let there be embers!" A small explosion was emitted from her hands, creating a veil of smoke.

Anais silently appeared behind the other student, kicking her head and knocking her down, "Let there be nature!" A large rock spurted from below the student's chin, hitting her head onto the hard floor, "Worthless trash!" Anais stomped onto her back, cracking her bones.

"Now!" 2 students appeared on both sides of Anais. Anais' left eye had been crushed, he could barely see. "Let there be aqua!" Both of the students chanted at once.

A large wave of water crushed Anais from both sides as the last student jumped ontop of Anais, "Let there be nature!" A large rock formed above the water, directly above where Anais was.

"Fools! Let there be earth!" Anais stomped onto the floor as the water crashed into Anais on both sides, the floor raising to create large walls of rock that shielded Anais' from the water. The large rock fell onto Anais' shoulders, with his chain his mouth, he held the rock up as his shoulders started to get crushed by the large weight of the boulder. "Agh!" Anais screaming in pain, "Earthquake!" The boulder he carried on his shoulder started to crack, breaking into a thousand pieces. He ground below his started to crack, so did the walls that blocked the water.

"Let there be-" The student from above enchanted as Anais jumped through the rock, grabbing the student's neck, knocking him downwards, crushing his throat. The ground around the students started to shift and shake, as if an earthquake had happened.

The other 2 students on his side jumped onto Anais, "Take this!" They both said in unison as they charged their fists with magic, ready to hit Anais.

"DIE!" Those words lingered in his mind as he tucked himself into the corner, his dad standing ontop of his mom, his hands bloodied and the knife dull. "DIE! DIE! DIE!" The words echoed through the room.

Anais' eyes went black, as he clenched his teeth holding onto the chain, he raised both of his hands, one towards each student. A large gust of wind blew out from his hands, forming a tornado, disrupting their punches.

"He can use wordless magic?!" One of the students cried out as his flesh was being torn apart by the strong winds.

"Let there be INFERNO!" The winds that came out of his hands turned red, being lit on fire. Both of the students started to get scorched alive.

"You bitch!" The student with blood on his eyes attacked anais from behind, cancelling both of the spells Anais had casted against the two students, "Agh!" The student charged towards Anais with a knife in his hand.

"DIE!" The image of his father stabbing his mom looped endlessly through his mind.

Anais turned around and grabbed the knife with his hand, breaking the blade in an instant. He infused his leg with magic and kicked the student into the forest, breaking down the trees. He turned around and received a punch to his gut from one of the students, the other punched Anais' in the chin upwards, sending him flying.

Anais clenched onto his chain harder with his teeth, breaking his teeth in the process. Anais landed on the ground, his mouth bleeding out, "You guys aren't half bad." He said calmly as he looked up, a large grin from ear to ear was plastered onto his face, his teeth broken and the blood pouring out of his mouth. Anais vanished and appeared behind the 2 students, grabbing both of their hands and crushing them together. "DIE!" He repeatedly said as he stomped on both of the students. As he stomped, the blood spurted out of their bodies, creating a rain made of blood.

"Is this what you really want?" A ghostly figure appeared infront of Anais, "Do you really want this?"

Anais looked down onto his blood soaked boots, the near dead bodies of the 2 students with the marks of his boots on their uniforms.

"I trusted you." The figure hugged Anais, its arm wrapped around his body.

"Anais! Help! We're all pretty urgently hurt! Call for help!" Nana called out as she had Jasper and Lin around her.

Anais awoke in the same pool of blood he was earlier, the large ring of goblins circling around him. He pressed his hand against his face, crying, "Damn old man, this is all your fault." Anais' tears mixed into the puddle of blood.
