The Changing

The moment the water touched his tongue, Ezra felt refreshed. After a moment, his aching joints seemed to loosen, and a warmth spread throughout his being, as if the very essence of his being had been rejuvenated. Ezra sat back; his eyes wide with wonder. He had never experienced anything like this before, and a spark of excitement ignited within him. "I feel strong, this water is incredible!" he amazed. "I need this for Maria," he carefully filled a gallon of container with the miraculous water, stowing it safely in his boat. He started to row, and he was amazed when it became easy. As he rowed back to shore, Ezra looks back the cove, and he was astounded when the cove was gone in an instant, but he saw the fin of the shark lurking around. Ezra decided to get away as soon as possible, while rowing, he could feel a noticeable difference in his movements. His rowing was lighter, his breath steadier, and a sense of vitality coursed through his veins. Marveling at the strange occurrence, he hurried home, eager to share his discovery with Maria. Meanwhile, Maria just finishing up her chores when Ezra burst through the door, his eyes shining with a newfound energy. "Maria, my dear," he exclaimed, "You'll never believe what I found!" Maria looked up; her brow furrowed with concern. Ezra was usually a quiet, contemplative man, and his sudden outburst was highly unusual. "What is it, Papa?" she asked, setting down the laundry basket she had been carrying. Ezra approached her, a grin spreading across his weathered face. "I stumbled upon a hidden spring during my fishing trip today," he explained, his voice trembling with excitement. "The water – it's extraordinary, Maria. I feel as if I've been reborn!" Maria's eyes widened, and she watched in disbelief as Ezra moved with a fluidity and grace she had not seen in years. "Father, you look healthy old man, that's great, but what happened?" Maria asked. Reaching into his pocket, he took the small bottle, he filled it with the shimmering liquid a while ago from the container, offering it to her. "Try it, my dear," he urged. "You must see for yourself. "Hesitantly, Maria took the container, studying the water's mesmerizing quality. She glanced up at Ezra, her expression a mix of curiosity and skepticism. "Father, are you sure about this?" she asked, her voice laced with concern. "What if it's dangerous? "Ezra placed a gentle hand on her arm, his eyes brimming with excitement. "I've never felt better, Maria, you see, I'm look healthy, right?" he assured her. "Yeah, but," Maria said still in doubt. "This water – it's like I've ever experienced. Please, just try it." Maria paused for a moment, then brought the bottle to her lips, taking a cautious sip. The moment the water touched her tongue, she felt a surge of energy coursing through her veins, as if the very essence of her being had been infused with a newfound vitality. Maria was amazed and she consumed all the water in the bottle excitedly. Ezra watched with bated breath as Maria's expression transformed, her eyes widening in wonder. "Father, this is...incredible, I feel energized," she breathed, her voice barely above a whisper. Ezra nodded, a triumphant grin spreading across his face. "I know, my dear. I know." The two stood in silence for a moment, each coming to terms with the extraordinary discovery.

That night, the two of them happily eating their dinner. Maria cooked fried fish. "Father, you can eat this kind of fish now, I guess?" Maria said happily as she serving the plate with fried fish in the table.

"Of course, my dear, that kind of fish is not bad for me anymore, I'm strong now, and I feel like I'm getting younger," Ezra smiled. "All our sickness was gone; our inner body was rejuvenized!" Ezra happily said as he eaten his food happily. "You are right father, I feel so great to, but my legs are still the same, it didn't change," Maria softly said. "It doesn't matter my dear, at least you are energized and feel strong, right?" Ezra grinned. "Yeah, feeling strong like a young people, this is most important than my legs, I still need to be thankful" Maria nodded. Ezra smiled at her. "So, what now father, can we share this to other people?" Maria asked. Ezra paused for a while and think. "Of course, but that streaming water from the cove was very hard to find now," Ezra answered. "How come father?"

"It was suddenly gone," he recalled. "You mean, there's nothing more like this anymore?" Maria gushed. "Kind of," Ezra reply. "What do you mean?" Maria asked in surprised. "I've been in that ocean for my whole life, but I've never ever seen that cove," Ezra replied as he visualizing the past. "You mean, it just appeared there and gone?" Maria furrowed. "Perhaps, maybe it's just a good timing that I was there and it appeared!" Ezra thought. "Why don't you try to go back there, maybe it still in there?" Maria asked in curiosity. "As for now, I don't want to go back there, it's dangerous you know, there's a big shark guarding that surface," Ezra replied as he remembered the big shark that he encountered lurking the cove. "Very well father, it's good that you defeated that shark," Maria smiled. "No, I didn't defeat that shark, it seems he went away when he saw me," Ezra replied. "That is really amazing father, but why?" Maria asked in disbelief. "I have no idea, the first time I saw that shark, I thought he will eat me alive, I'm very desperate," Ezra narrates. "The shark was just there and he didn't do anything but looking my eyes, I'm so terrified, but suddenly, after looking into my eyes, he went away," Ezra narrated continuously. "I felt scared and exhausted, so I drank the water, and after drinking it, I feel something different, like what you feel," Ezra continuously said. "Well, this is great father, the two of us are very lucky!" Maria exclaimed. Ezra gave her a big smile.
