Chapter 30: The dinner.
I was pleased to finally let into a tank top and jean shorts because i had myself covered in long gowns back at hill town and I was beginning to feel at home over here. I put on a new pair of slippers and walked out of the room.
The maids over here were nice compared to the hunters. One asked me if she could bathe me one day, I almost screamed out of embarrassment. I felt it was very funny to let someone run her hands over my naked body.
A maid led me out of the room as she was instructed to bring me to the dinning. As we walked through the hallway, I couldn't help but admire the castle and its ancient paintings on the wall.
Hill town was limited to modern technology. They had very tall buildings filled with shiny glasses and they were rich. I didn't like the fact that I was comparing the castle to the Hill town so I just let myself out of the thought.
I strolled into the dinning and saw Jake, while a seat was drawn out for me to sit. "You're beautiful." He smiled.
"Thank you, but it doesn't mean I have forgiven you for what you did to me." I told him, waiting for dinner to be served. "Oh Ellie. Can't you forget it?."
"I don't have the tendency to."
There was silence, I watched the maids dish out Italian sausage and mushroom lasagna with béchamel sauce. My mouth watered and I was eager to eat.
When I dropped a spoon filled in my mouth, I almost yummed out. It was delicious, the first nice delicacy I've had since I was abducted. "Do you like it?" Jake asked me.
"Are you kidding me?. I love it." I almost screamed out of excitement and for once, I forgot I was being kidnapped. I took a drink from the wine glass and thanked the kitchen maid.
"Son, you didn't let us know of your visitor." I heard an unfamiliar voice from the background. I raised my head to the direction of the voice, walking into the dinning is a stunning lady with sandy blonde hair and green eyes. Standing with him was a young man in his late twenties.
Jake stood up immediately and bowed to them. They must have been very important persons for someone like Jake to bow to. "Uhm..can I kind of bow too?." I asked, as I tried to get up from my seat.
"No. It's fine. You're not obligated to." The lady who seemed nice said, I settled down, smiling at them. "Ah..Ellie." Jake called me.
"Yes."
"This is my dad, and this is my mom. And dad, mom..this is my ex-girlfriend, Elena Wilson."
I think I didn't hear well right now. They were his parents. My eyes are deceiving me right now.
And another thing was that I chose not to forget that he referred to me as an ex.
"Nice to meet you, sir and ma'am." My voice almost failed me. "It's alright. I understand how humans get surprised when they see us as his parents, deep down they don't know we were over one thousand and. I'm Monalisa and this is my husband, Dane." The woman said.
"Who told you she's human?." I looked up to find another young guy coming into the dinning. I panicked when i remembered the guy who kidnapped us.
He stopped, took an apple from the table and chewed, making a crackly noise. Jake wasn't so pleased to see him. Who knows how old this one is?.
"Jecobi, get a seat please." The king said to him. He cackled. "I'm entertaining the guests as no one called me in for dinner."
"Well, it was meant for her and I. Not everybody." Jake told him rudely.
He scoffed. "A dinner with Stefan's mate?. Really?."
"Shut up!."
Jake grabbed a kitchen knife from the table and threw it at him, which he caught in the air. He sizzled. "You've got a bad temper, you know." He finally sits beside me. Monalisa sighed.
"Finally the drama ended. Son, is this true?." Monalisa asked Jake. I swallowed a big lump. Jake didn't give her an answer.
"Are you kidding me?. She's the gold witch."
Oh my God!. He wasn't joking when he told me that I was referred to as a gold witch. Was giving me a name necessary?.
"I'm not a witch, Ma'am."
"What're you?. Fish?." Jecobi teased absentmindedly.
"Jecobi, please stop already." Monalisa warned. He rolled his eyes.
"She told no one and was not ready to. Ellie won't tell." Her face fell into a sad one.
"What's even golden about her?. Her hair is normal." Dane questioned.
"Jecobi must have lied about it." Monalisa added.
"Her powers must have extracted them in. I heard the hunter boy took her powers." Jacobi defended.
These people are discussing about me as if I'm not visibly sitted in front of them, although I was starting to enjoy their conversation.
"Enough. Now, she needs to rest. I'm taking her to her room." Jake said and got up.
"She already has a room. Interesting." Jecobi teased him again, Jake rolled his eyes at him. He ignored him and helped me up to my feet.
We walk back into the room without saying a word to each other. I was tired and needed some sleep. I didn't know I was gonna get more sleep after all the sleep I've had for five days now. I was simply restless.
"Sleep lovely. I'll see you tomorrow." He kissed my forehead and used the duvet on me. I smiled at him.
"Thanks Jake. But we'll talk about my returning home tomorrow. I missed mom, dad, Julia.."
"Sssshh.." He shushed, placing his second finger on my mouth. "Your mom's aware you are here. She said you're safer here with me than the outside world. She would also like to see you tomorrow." Though my eyelids were closed, I was hearing him perfectly.
"And we would also talk about us tomorrow. How do you see it?. "
"There's nothing to talk about Jake." I managed to say before drifting off to sleep.
