The Tournament Positions

Inside the office, three men were receiving instructions from Maximo. When they saw Beatriz enter, the three of them stood up to greet her respectfully.

She nodded at them in silent greeting, which seemed to make them relax.

"We will make it happen, Virtue! We will be back soon," One of the men, who was the tall black-haired young man, said while looking at Maximo.

He then looked at Skyler and smiled in greeting before they left the room.

The other two were calmly walking as if they did not see Skyler at all.

When the men were out of sight, Skyler looked at Maximo and curiously asked, "Is that not Cousin Jay?"

"Good afternoon Skyler!" Maximo said instead after his gaze fell on his niece.

"Good afternoon, uncle, sorry," Skyler said after a nervous chuckle. She did feel ashamed for her not-so-good manners.
