2: Shanne & Eunji

Present day:

Philippines: Manila

"Eomma,why you suddenly left me?"cried Kim Sha Ahnne while hugging her mother's ash inside a small jar.

Her mother Kim Chorong,passed away because of heartfailure.

"Knock!Knock!Knock!"

Some one is knocking on Shanne's room.Her mother's best friend Jang Nara,enter the room and seat beside her.They became best friends since Chorong and Shanne's first arrived in the Philippines 10 years ago.They are neighbors,that's why they became best of friends.

She is the one who helped them to lived peacefully in Manila,together with her son Jang Lay Ri,who became one of Shanne's bestfriends together with their other neighbors,Ailee and Sunny.They are classmates from grade 2 until now,that they are already a junior students.

"I know you're still mourning for your mother's death Shanne,and you want to be alone,but your mother told me when something like this would happened,she told me to give this letter to you."says Aunt Nara.

Aunt Nara put the letter on Shanne's lap and tap her shoulder.Shanne didn't answer her back.

"I know it's very hard for you to accept that she's gone,but your mother knows that you can live with your life without her."Because you grew into a wonderful lady."If you need someone to talk your friends is just outside waiting for you to call them.

Aunt Nara left the room after giving her a courage that she needed at this moment.

"How can you say eomma that I can live without you,when all my life I'm only depending on you?"says Shanne,more tears falling down from his eyes.

She open her mother's letter and read silently.

"My Beloved Shanne,

Im sorry for leaving you in this world.I know at first it's hard for you to accept that I'm gone,but I know that you can do it.

I know I'm going to leave you anytime,that's why I already communicated your aunt Dara and told her your address here in the Philippines. Even though your father don't want us to contact them,I still don't have a choice but to do it .I already arranged your paper for transferring school.I'm very sad to tell that your father is already dead,I can't tell you,because I know you loved your father very much.I'm afraid it hurts you a lot to know the truth.Please forgive me Shanne.

I want you to live with them together with your older sister Eunji.Please tell your eonni that I'm sorry for breaking my promise,that well going to see each other soon.

Please tell your eonni that I love her so much,that I missed her so much.There is no time that passed that I didn't think about her,and your father.I couldn't do anything but cry,whenever I think about you and your father.Please tell her to forgive me.

After she read her mother's letter and found out that her father is already dead,more tears flow from his eyes as if there is no end.She felt that she's out of breath.She cried the whole night until she fall asleep.

Next morning her aunt Dara arrived from Korea,her aunt hug her very tight and cried,after their emotion subside her aunt told her that they are leaving tomorrow.

Time for leaving:

"We will surely miss you Shanne,"says Sunny.

"Me too."add Ailee and hug her.

"Don't forget us once you already in Korea."said the teary eyes Ailee.

"And don't take off your necklace as your mother told you."said Sunny.

She caress her necklace that her mother gave her,she had this feeling that all her questions will be answered in Korea,someday.

Her friends also knows that her eomma didn't allowed her to take off her necklace.But they don't know the reason behind it.

"Are you not going to miss me?"asked Shanne to Lay the only boy in their group.

"Nope"Because I'm going to follow you where ever you are.Im your guardian friend,remember?"says Lay while smiling, showing his deep dimples.

"Really?"Well,I will wait you there."says Shanne and she hug him.

"Take care and always remembered what your mother told you."OK?says Lay giving her a mysterious look.But she didn't mind it.They do the group hug,she will never,ever forget her best friends here in this country.

South Korea:Seoul

Shanne doesn't know how to react in front of her older sister,whose looking at her seriously.

"So,you finally came back after 10 long years of hiding in the foreign country."But why do you have to comeback?""Where happy even without you"."Unless,you came back together with eomma, I will happy to see you again."sneered Eunji said.

"Eunji!."What are you talking about?"asked their Aunt Dara.Confuse of Eunji's behavior.

"Eonni."the only word that comes from Shanne's mouth.

"Why?Do you expected me to welcome you with a warm hug after a long time that we didn't see each other?"asked Eunji."I wish you didn't comeback,or instead of father who killed that day, should be the one to killed---

"Pacck!!!!!!

Dara slapped her niece face.

"You shouldn't said those kind of harsh words to your sister!"Dara said angrily.

Eunji cried and run to her room and lock the door.

"Eonni,"says Shanne,tears starting to come out from her eyes.She didn't expect her eonni to treat her like that.

Aunt Dara accompany her niece to her room.

"Aunt Dara,what does my eonni means when she say that father was killed that day?"Is it the day when eomma and I escaped from our house?"Shanne asked,she is curious about the meaning of the words Eunji told her a minute ago.

"Don't mind what she said earlier, maybe she just upset because you didn't communicated her for so long.She missed you a lot,she just don't know how to express her feelings."Dara doesn't know how to explain Shanne for her older sister's action.

"How can I tell her that her eonni hated her because she's the one that their mother chose to escaped instead of her older sister?"How can I also tell Eunji why their eomma chose Shanne insted of her,without revealing her sister's identity?"Dara thought of it while she's hugging Shanne.

"You better sleep and rest now,tomorrow I will tour you around the city,and then I will enrol you where your eonni's school."Don't worry because most students in SM academy can speak and understand English."Dara says to her niece.And she left her alone.

Shanne's lying on bed, her mind occupying her eonni,she promise that she will do everything to make her older sister treat her like the way she treated her back when they were young.

After a minutes of thinking,she finally fall asleep.

Eunji's room:

"I don't like the way you treated your sister earlier."Dara said to Eunji,while Eunji is lying in bed.

Eunji snort and wipe her nose.

"Joesonghamnida Aunt Dara,I'm really sorry for acting that way."apologize Eunji.

"But I can't control my emotion,she happily lived there together with eomma while I'm here missing them so much,but they didn't contact me even just once."And now she's here as if there's nothing happened."I missed eomma so much,but I just found out that she's dead,it hurts me so much."says Eunji while crying.

"It's not your sister's fault,why she didn't contacted us,it's your parent's decision."Dara explained.

"I know it's not easy for you to do it but please don't make it hard for her to live here."Dara add.

"Why you're not angry with them?"They left us in a dangerous situation."ask Eunji.

"Someday,you and her will know what's the reason why they left here."says Dara.

"Anyway,starting on Monday she will go to school where you're studying."sha add.And she prepare to leave.

"One more thing,don't mention to your sister about the shadow humpire."You're sister doesn't know their existence."And I'm sorry for slapping you earlier,I didn't mean to do it,"Dara apologize. And left in her room.

Many question comes on her mind,Why they didn't told her sister about the shadow humpire?What does her aunt mean about the real reason why they left and never contacted them?Why does the shadow humpire killed their dad?
