"Feisty," Alex muttered, chuckling at her words. The amethyst-eyed boy was aware of the upcoming beatdown but could not care less. Pain was simply a means to a goal by now. His pain receptors were almost numb.
Nessia was one of the factors which caused such a tragedy. Her beatdowns were often brutal to the point where Alex considered dying to be a better option than continuing to live in an accursed world that contained Nessia.
Before Alex could react, a fist collided with his face, shattering his nose instantly. He flew back before colliding with a nearby tree. The intense, raging gust of wind blew his hair back, and a spark of blue thunder entered his vision.
Within a split second, a kick landed on his abdomen. The tree collapsed, and he flew backwards again.
