Changes to get stronger, Really asking for trouble

The Arrancar's clone made its way back to the base, then went back to the usual relaxing routine while the 'sentries' cleared out anything that was a threat to their home.

The fanatics grew more confident with the new additions that joined their ranks. Some of them had some interesting powers, writing a word on whatever item provides a buff or debuff of sorts depending on their spiritual energy. Sadly, that ability user was only limited to one word, but even then, that served to improve the survivability of those that hunted down the demons...and heretics.

The so-called heretics are those that gave up their bodies or souls to the invading monsters just to survive at the cost of others.

After Sciens dealt with a few of these 'heretics,' the fanatics decided to create a few more groups to support better the 'god' that didn't abandon them.

Despite him repeatedly telling them that he wasn't one and he didn't need any support, the fools insisted on this, adamantly leading to more headache-inducing situations.

Not for him, but for the Seimei family.

Shizuku, Shizumi, and Yuzuha especially got the most 'trouble' after getting entitled as the shrine maidens of the spider god...

P.s. Sciens laughed his ass off at this since it meant more sleep for him!

But for the other things that happened behind the scenes while this happened were totally unneeded and they weren't very accurate on some details, Sciens isn't a damned god!

Shizuku Complained out loud, but not a single person bothered to listen to her complaints. Her sister and cousin actually found the title fun as it felt like a game to them.

While the parents...

All that they gave her was a pat on the shoulder while saying this.

"give it up. it's already too late for that."

She screamed even louder in annoyance~

"He's a soul-eating monster, for crying out loud!"

She was tempted to have some of them experience it personally. Still, two rascals prevented her from enacting the plan using that unbeatable move that she quickly surrendered to, not wanting to be hated by her own family that was truly enjoying this.

Shizuku had no choice but to accept it regardless of how she felt!

The ghost floating behind the girl quivered in fear, trying to blend in with the background as much as possible.

Since Sciens was trying to rest in peace again, and that scene of him decimating hundreds of enemies or even blasting away airplanes that traveled faster than the speed of light for interrupting his nap still haunted Naotora's mind!

With good reason, too, since hollows are a Spirit's natural enemy.

Then his natural enemy turned to him as a scary gleam flashed in Arrancar's eyes due to the idea that came to mind which would give him more sleeping time, in the long run, should it work!

The hollow looked at Naotora, tempted to train him and increase the chances of survival of Shizuku and her family.

The Arrancar quickly asked the girl's permission first to find out which one was a usable method.

Changing the ghost into a fellow hollow? That would shorten the training sessions and make him much tougher, but the downsides are a chance of losing himself and, later down the lines, might attempt to kill Shizuku and her family.

Old fashion way? Sure he'll be capable of becoming corporeal, and a bunch of interesting abilities will become available to Naotora. Still, during training, there will be a chance of him dying, and this method may take years, if not decades. However, at least he won't be a threat to them in the future.

What if he did both?

Oh!

That'd be an interesting sight, partially corrupting the spirit enough for him to have a boost but still remain in control. As long as he remains stronger than his 'hollow' self, there was even a chance of Naotora gaining a resurrection or even a zanpakuto if he does well~.

That thought alone while Sciens looked at the terrified spirit caused the ghost to shudder even more!

He was already hugging Shizuku's foot, hoping that she'd save him from the plans of the Arrancar, but such hopes quickly died out when She said this.

"As long as he doesn't die and comes back stronger do what you need to do!"

Shizuku didn't know that she brought a decade worth of suffering for her follower, all due to her wanting to have someone that can protect her family should there be a time when the hollow wouldn't be there when they need him.

Then she dropped another bomb.

"Help me get stronger as well!"

Sciens looked at the girl before cocking an eyebrow using his clone. He pursed his lips outward, then nodded.

Since she wanted to improve herself, this meant less trouble for him to worry about later~

He cracked his knuckles while looking at her with a smile that wasn't a smile, then replied to her request in a manner that sent a cold shiver to run down her spine.

"Okay, if you insist~."

His words were simple, yet it carried a strange feeling that was hard to ignore, as if he was looking forward to this.

And truthfully, the Arrancar that was forced to become something like a land good for who knows how long thanks to her last favor left some lasting grudges, so this was the best time to help her and vent out those problems. She had given him!

So yes, he was really looking forward to it~.

Meanwhile, within the base, the children were entertaining themselves, from tictac toe to running games. It was truly a blissful moment.

Sciens' true body relaxed, enjoying the laughter of children that tickled his ears.

You could say that he was experiencing true bliss at the moment.

But this very moment, something that he never expected, happened in the middle of their safe haven.

A portal had suddenly opened up, and a large hand that moved faster than the hollow due to him relaxing grabbed a bunch of children then pulled them into the portal before closing almost immediately after that.

In reaction to this, his real body took form right in front of the nearly closed portal and grabbed hold of it.

They were truly asking to die, weren't they?

He was tempted to go full power, but the other children were still there on the ground staring at this whole situation in surprise!

This prevented him from going full power in his current form.

So he opted to use a different solution for this, all while keeping the portal open that screeched loudly from his interference!

The children began to cry in fear and surprise of their friends suddenly disappearing as well as due to the noise made by the actions of the Arrancar while tearing open the portal that just like the ones that claimed some of the kids' families!

He created another clone this time using one of his 'main' eyes!

It was something that carried more power than the one that was training Shizuku and Naotora.

As it had one additional objective in mind after saving the kidnapped children as it took the form of a creature that looked like a tsuchigumo of myths and legends.
