"He is a slut."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, he would be seen with different man."

For almost a a month, Ling Xi could always heard people talking behind his back, some give him the benefit of the doubt and defend him while some would look at him in a condescending manner.

Ling Xi decided to just ignore it. He doesn't want to raise more trouble by arguing with them. Everyday he would come in Grandmaster Ran's place to learn. Grandmaster Ran has a medicinal garden where Ling Xi would spend hours examining and comparing the plants. He can now memorise up to two thousand Different Medicinal Plants but it is better when seeing it up close.

"Ling Xi come here."

He found Grandmaster Ran in the alchemy room in front of a very large cauldron, the room is very hot making him slightly break a sweat.

"Watch closely and learn" Grandmaster Ran says before putting different Medicinal plant in the cauldron.

Ling Xi is curious, he had seen all the plants Grandmaster Ran drops and he had not seen any recipes about it. Its like he just drops a random plants.

Using his soul force, he inject it to the cauldron to investigate. Their he can see how the Grandmaster separates the liquify medicinal plants on different places. He can see how he blends and refine all of it making a different medicinal pill at the same time.

"Did you see it?" Grandmaster Ran question after getting and bottling the pill.

Instead of answering Ling Xi sit down on the floor, bringing out his own cauldron and began refining, his level is in bottleneck for many days now. No matter how many hours he meditate or practice refining he feels like he is missing something. After seeing that he found out he needed some enlightenment.

He decided to refine two medicinal pills at once, he controls the heat before dropping the ingredients, he divide his soul force to separate the two before he starts dispelling the impurities, he found out that if he dispel the impurities from the liquid his pill have a higher chance of success. When Grandmaster Ran is doing it, it looks so easy but it is very hard, he had to separate his soul force into six strands and the six strands would be doing different things at the same time.

His medicinal pill turn out as a success making him happy then he heard a "Kacha" sound then the spiritual qi come crashing into him like he is some kind of magnet. He is on the verge of breakthrough. Guiding the spiritual qi to flow to his meridians and making way to his dantian, he decided to wait for his dantian to become full before pushing through.

Boom! A loud sound can be heard coming from Grandmaster Ran palace making people stop and look at it, it looks like someone had a breakthrough.

Grandmaster Ran become so surprised, this young man had a breakthrough for just a little bit of insight? He again bemoan his impatience on choosing his succeeding disciple causing him to miss a true genius.

After Ling Xi somehow steady his level he bowed to Grandmaster Ran before quickly walking home. He really needed to meditate to stabilise his level and the lake is the best place for it.

This time he is really thankful towards Grandmaster Ran for giving him some insights. If he didn't impart this technique in refining Ling Xi would probably be still in bottleneck for months or even years. So he is really grateful.

When Ling Xi walks out. The crowd instantly realised that he is the one who levels up. Making him again stands in the limelight. This time the people are now calling him a true genius, calling him brother Xi wherever he will go.

And the people who always denounced him calling him names instantly became silent. But some who stands on his side decided to taunt.

"You! You're the one always adamant on making gossips about Brother Xi, now what?"
