David heard the sound of footsteps behind him and turned around, his sword at the ready. He saw the swordsman charging towards him, a look of desperation on his face. David knew that he had to end this once and for all.
With a swift movement, David blocked the swordsman's attack and disarmed him. The swordsman fell to the ground, his sword clattering out of reach.
David raised his sword, ready to strike the final blow, but hesitated. He looked down at the defeated swordsman and felt a twinge of sympathy. This was someone he had once called a friend, after all.
"Please," the swordsman begged. "Don't kill me. I'll leave, I'll never come back. Just spare my life."
David lowered his sword, his resolve faltering. Then he saw the swordsman reaching for something.
It was a knife!
So David had no choice but to kill him after cutting the swordsman in half. David turned to the remaining mages, they too could be seen trying every trick in the book to save their own lives or kill David. David didn't spare them either, despite their resistance. After finishing his former team, David heard a big rumble, the inside of this dungeon David was in was a cave, and the cave was rumbling, something was coming, so he prepared himself.
David braced himself for the incoming threat as he heard the rumbling grow louder. Suddenly, the ground shook violently as a massive creature burst through the cave entrance. It was a dragon, its scales glistening in the dim light of the cave.
With some hesitation, David charged towards the dragon, his sword glinting in the dim light. The dragon unleashed a torrent of flame, but David was ready. He ducked and rolled to the side, avoiding the worst of the flames.
David darted in, landing a swift strike on the dragon's foreleg. The dragon roared in pain and swung its massive tail, but David was too quick. He ducked under the tail and landed another blow on the dragon's flank.
The dragon bellowed in fury, its eyes blazing with anger. It lunged at David, jaws wide open, ready to tear him apart.
David felt a surge of adrenaline rush through him as he saw the dragon charge towards him. He knew that this was the moment he had trained for all his life. He gripped his magic sword tightly and began to chant a spell under his breath.
As the dragon came closer, David unleashed a powerful wave of energy from his sword. The dragon was momentarily stunned, giving David an opening to strike. He leaped into the air and plunged his sword deep into the dragon's chest.
The dragon let out a deafening roar of agony and thrashed about, trying to dislodge the sword. David held on tightly, his face a mask of determination as he chanted another spell. The sword began to glow with an intense light, and David could feel the dragon's life force being drained away.
The dragon's wound began to heal, and that was not good for David. He could already feel that he was running out of mana. The various cuts were also draining his HP, he needed to find a way to defeat this dragon quickly and get out of the dungeon.
David knew that he couldn't let the dragon heal itself. He took a deep breath and channeled all the mana he had left into his sword. The sword began to vibrate with an intense energy, and David felt his whole body tremble with the strain of maintaining the spell.
The dragon roared in fury, its eyes blazing with an intense fire. It lashed out with its massive claws, but David was too quick. He darted around the dragon, dodging its attacks and striking whenever he had an opening.
David knew that he couldn't keep this up for long. He needed to end this quickly. With a surge of determination, he channeled all the remaining mana he had into his sword and struck the dragon's heart with all his might.
David quickly rolled to the side to avoid the dragon's claws, narrowly dodging a swipe that would have surely killed him. As he got back up, he knew he had to come up with a new strategy. He took a deep breath and focused his mind, channeling all of his remaining mana into his sword.
The sword began to hum with an otherworldly energy, and David could feel a surge of power coursing through his body. With a fierce battle cry, he charged towards the dragon once more, his sword trailing a blazing trail of light behind it.
The dragon roared in fury and charged at him once again. David jumped and landed on the dragon's snout, sliding down it and driving his sword deep into its eye. The dragon roared in agony and flung its head, sending David flying through the air.
He landed hard on the ground, his sword still embedded in the dragon's eye. The dragon thrashed about, trying to dislodge the sword, but David held on tightly, his eyes closed in concentration as he chanted another spell.
The dragon's body began to convulse, and David could feel its life force slipping away. He knew he had to act quickly, before it was too late. He channeled all of his remaining mana into the sword, and it began to glow with a blinding light.
Suddenly, there was a massive explosion of energy, and the dragon's body was engulfed in flames. David shielded his eyes as the light grew brighter and brighter, until it was almost too much to bear. The result of David's energy colliding with the dragon's energy was a massive explosion that shook the entire cave.
David was knocked off his feet as a result of the massive explosion.
David struggled to his feet, his body aching all over. He looked around and saw that the cave was now collapsing in on itself, rocks and debris raining down all around him.
He knew he had to get out of there, and fast. With a grim determination, he began to limp towards the entrance of the cave. Every step was a struggle, and he could feel his strength failing him.
But he refused to give up. He had come too far to let the cave take him down now. He gritted his teeth and pushed forward, even as the ground shook beneath his feet.
Finally, he saw a sliver of light up ahead, and he knew he was almost there. He picked up the pace, his heart pounding in his chest as he drew closer and closer to the entrance.
At last, he burst through into the daylight, coughing and gasping for air. He collapsed on the ground, his body trembling with exhaustion and pain.
But he had done it. He had defeated the dragon and escaped the collapsing cave. He lay there for a moment, catching his breath and gathering his strength, before slowly getting to his feet and limping away, his sword still clutched tightly in his hand.
