Reattempting the Dungeon

Another morning in the Eternal Battlefield. Alice woke up and reached out to see if Noah was still there. Feeling the emptiness she opened her eyes and sat up. She hated it when Noah left before she woke up, it made her lose the opportunity to stare at his sleeping face.

She stretched her arms yawning. Her messy bed hair going everywhere.

"Alice, you woke up. I made breakfast today." Noah had borrowed the kitchen in the morning and cooked.

A mouth-watering smell filled the room. She looked at the quiche Noah made, taking a piece. She felt a familiar sensation dance in her mouth. The feeling was so special that her eyes started to water.

"How do you know the recipe?" Alice asked Noah. She had tasted this quiche a lot in her childhood, her mother would make it all the time since it was her favourite dish.

She remembered asking her mother what she put in it only to be answered with, "It's a secret." Her mother never told anyone the recipe, since it would make the dish less special. She was surprised Noah could make it.

Noah looked at Alice smiled, "It's a secret." He ignored Alice's blight and continued, "Let's head out early, we need to back to BlueCloud Town to do that Werewolf dungeon again."

Alice stared at Noah wondering sheather she should force him to tell her the reason or let it go. Soon she changed and went with Noah to the Teleportation Hall. It cost 20 silver each, and they were able to go back to BlueCloud Town.

The two stopped by their house, leaving behind anything they wouldn't need. They tried to empty their bags completely of all the things they hadn't sold but weren't using. They had also bought bigger bags in PurpleCloud Town so they transferred anything they had into those.

After reorganising, they got back on their horses and quickly reached the Black Werewolf dungeon. The monsters were easy to kill and they reached the Dungeon Lord.

Noah sat on the Levitation Staff as Alice fought the Black Werewolf. Alice had grown much stronger so he didn't need to join in.

Alice held the Old Spell Blade as she attacked the werewolf leaving a cross mark on its body. She used her dagger to block its attacks and fought much than she had before. Every time she left a cross-wound on its body she seemed to get stronger. Soon the werewolf buffed itself.

She was launched back but took the hit well, landing on her feet. She pointed her blade at the Werewolf. She used her blades skill, Flame Shot. The blade lit with fire which shot out hitting the werewolf.

Running towards it, she stamped her foot when she got close enough sending rocks flying at the Werewolf. She then followed behind the rocks reversing the grip of her blade, in a quick motion she left a large scar across its chest. Sending it falling back to the ground.

[You have slain the Dungeon Lord!]

Noah came down to Alice who picked up the loot. She looked at the key that had fallen. Then went to the door in the Dungeon Lord's room. Noah had already told her all about it.

Inside Alice already had the type of skill she wanted in mind.

She selected a dummy in the centre as her target. She walked through the crowd of dummies avoiding their imaginary lines of sight, sneaking up on her target. She then burst out with her strongest attacks at the dummies back.

D Class

Able to enter stealth mode and sneak up onto targets, doing twice as much damage when an attack is undetected. This skill is specially customised to the owner bringing out all of her potential.

Effect 1: [Stealth]

Form a thin layer of mana turning you completely invisible. Skill will cancel when you interact with other beings.

Effect 2: [Assassinate]

Your next attack will do twice as much damage when done from behind the target.

Cooldown: 3 minutes

The skill was exactly what she wanted. She had limited the skill to only make her invisible because of her silent trait and instead had its focus on powering up her damage. Being able to enter stealth whenever she wanted in battle with a powered-up attack, she would now be able to kill the Werewolf outside in six attacks.

She opened her Status page. Seeing how much she had changed from the last time she was here.

She had gained new equipment, from a new dagger to a chest plate and boots. She had wanted Noah to take one of the equipment but Noah didn't budge saying that she needed the attribute increase a lot more.

For skills, she had only learned Reverse Grip until yesterday when Noah gave her, Rock Blast and Earth Wave. Fireball wasn't useful after she got Flame shot and it had stagnated at level 2. She had also levelled up Dagger Mastery to E Class increasing her damage immensely.

Closing everything she activated Assassination and disappeared. She liked that it didn't have a duration. She walked towards the entrance and walked out of it.

Noah was still standing by waiting for her.

She slowly crept up behind him then jumped on him, however, Noah wasn't there. Before she knew she was out of Stealth as Noah carried her up.

"How'd you know I was there?"

"Didn't I tell you one of my talents is Spatial Sense, I could still clearly sense you walk out."

"Hmph, must be nice. As punishment, you have to carry me outside now."

Noah didn't mind carry Alice with his attributes was easy.

They left the cave and got on their horses back to BlueCloud Town. From there they teleported back to PurpleCloud Town. They had to spend 2 gold in total in teleporting back but they had enough.

They went back to the FlowerBird Inn and packed up everything, rested for a while. Then spent the rest of the day preparing to leave for an extremely long trip. RoyalCloud City was 400 kilometres away, which was twice the distance from BlueCloud to GreenCloud Town.

They switched horses to stronger ones before leaving paying the money for 25 days. Leaving PurpleCloud Town for RoyalCloud City.
