Noah opened his eyes and saw Alice lying on top of him. He was back in the eternal battlefield in the exact position the two had slept in after making up.

Noah gently removed Alice from on top of himself and got off the couch. He looked around and everything was the same as before. The sky was still dark and it seemed like only a few hours had passed since they fell asleep.

He had already gotten an explanation about this in the introductory book. Simply put the eternal battlefield normally created another body for people during a mana wave. This allowed people to transfer consciousness to the body and awaken in the eternal battlefield the moment they fell asleep and vice versa.

Alice and Noah were different since they came through an access point they had to wait a week for the eternal battlefield to completely create that body. Now they wouldn't teleport to the eternal battlefield they would simply move consciousness from the body on earth to the body in the eternal battlefield.

This also had a great side effect that basically gave everyone another life. Since anyone who entered the eternal battlefield had two bodies, if you died in one you would simply awaken in the other. However, there was a time limit when earth completely merges with the eternal battlefield all humans will be transferred to the eternal battlefield and all those who had entered earlier and had two bodies would have both merge.

Noah carried Alice to her room and laid her down, he then tucked her in and got ready.

After changing, he went to the training ground, completed his 3 hours of sword training, then went back to make breakfast.

Alice came down and sat with him to eat.

"Good morning," Noah said as he gave Alice a hug and a kiss.

As they sat down Noah remembered something, "Oh right! Alice, that Alpha grey wolf dropped 150 copper and two basic mana stones. You should take one and use it today while training."

"No, you should keep it. I didn't help in the fight at all."

"I was only able to fight that well because of the buff I got from saving you. So you did help. Just use the basic mana stone I'm sure we'll be able to get more soon. Also later we should stop by the shop to get better equipment."

"We should, I have around 200 copper how much do you have?" Alice asked.

"With the copper, the Alpha wolf dropped I have around 470. Even if we pool all our money together we'll only be able to buy a weapon each. We won't have much for potions and other things." Noah said.

They made light conversation and planned what to do later in the day.

The couple then left for the training ground. This time walking together while holding hands.

This was Noah and Alice's last day of training [Sword Mastery] and [Firearm Mastery]. The day was the same with harsher exercise. Noah made sure to regularly go and meet Alice whenever they took a break.

Finally, at lunchtime, Alice sat at the table as Noah brought both their lunches.

Putting the trays on the table Noah sat beside her.

"Do you want me to feed it to you?" Noah asked. Today the training had been much harsher pulling out all of their energy. Alice basically couldn't move, she had used him as support to walk all the way to the cafeteria.

Alice looked at him with her eyes lighting up and nodded.

Noah laughed and fed her with a fork then ate some of his.

"Alice I forgot to ask, do you know horse ridding?"

"A little," Alice answered first and took in the bite of food Noah was holding in front of her.

"I'll teach you then if you can prove you know horse ridding you can rent a horse for travel. It'll help a lot when we have to go to deeper parts of the forest."

"Sure, I don't mind."

Finally finishing their last sparring match with their instructors the two were brought out in front of the crystal.

Edward stood in front and smiled, "Well done you two! You both have completed your training. Just one final step."

Edward put his hand on the crystal and both Noah and Alice got a message from the system.

They both opened their status page and saw the skill there.

"I'm sure you noticed the mastery skill looks different compared to your other skills. The mastery skill, unlike other skills, can rank up as you gain levels. When you reach the peak of level 5 it'll change to an E class skill. Then you'll have to level it up from level 0 to level 10 to then change it to a D class skill and so on." Edward said.

"Other than mastery skills can also gain skills that are called 'Enhancers' now. These are special skills that make your mastery skill stronger. They drop from monsters or can be learned in certain places. At each rank, the mastery skill must learn only three of them to rank up as well. But be mindful of which ones you learn, as you can not change them after you have learned one."

"You can learn a few right here from this crystal, they are the ones with the 'increase' in their names. All of the ones you can learn here are the lowest rank, Iron rank. Higher ranks are bronze, silver, gold and diamond. Each has their own effect skill."

"Each mastery skill adapts and becomes unique to their user. They are the basis of your combat power." Edward said.

"Finally, I advise you to enter dungeons now you will gain a lot more from them, but make sure to enter together. Always stay alert and rational at all times. If you think it's over don't give up hope, there is always a way to survive, you just need to find it."

Edward took a deep breath then said, "take care you two. I wish you the best of luck out there adventuring. "

He then came to give Noah a hug while Tania gave Alice a hug, they said their final farewells.

Noah and Alice left, the training ground towards the shop.

They had decided to buy weapons first then go hunt and come back to buy the rest of the things they needed.

In the shop, they quickly browsed through the things and selected the things they wanted.

Noah chose his weapon and Alice chose hers.

They both went back home and got ready.

Noah kept his sword and the black pistol in his room and holstered the steel magic gun onto his belt. It was on his left where he normally had his sword.

He also still wore the potion bag on his right. With this done he went down. Alice also changed and only wore the new dagger on her side.

They didn't keep their older weapons as the system only allowed you to equip one weapon at a time. So you would only gain an attribute increase from one weapon, so it would only be restricting to wear a lot of weapons.

They both set off to the forest.

In the forest, Noah brought Alice with him to fight silver wolves.

He located a pack through his Explorer Map.

"Alice I've got a skill it'll increase your strength for 5 minutes, I'll use it on you and then support you from behind." He could freely use it now since he had a lot more mana.

Noah used the skill on Alice. He then fired with his gun.

Alice charged into the middle of the pack, with Noah's support she was fearless.

With great aim, Noah controlled the wolves from far, shooting whenever they were getting too close to Alice. He was firing rapidly making sure his bullets didn't hit Alice.

Alice danced between the wolves, her new dagger allowed her to quickly slash through them.

They easily killed the pack.

"That was quick, the weapons have made us much stronger," Noah said to Alice as he picked up the copper.

Alice agreed and then they both continued.

They were now much stronger and faster, they were able to earn 400 copper in the day and found 4 basic agility stones which they divided equally.

They went back home, leaving the buying for tomorrow.
