Doing the Daily Quest

I don't dislike the cuisine of this world. They have a unique sauce and delicacy. However, I am craving for something I loved in the past.

The name of the chef was Rmasey. At first, he thought that I was going to complain about the food. He was visibly trembling while standing in front of me. I can't help but to release an awkward laugh before talking to him.

I visited the kitchen then explained to him the recipe that Tema was telling me. 

First, it was just a normal fried chicken with a spice flavor. Coated with flour and other spices, then the flavors. It was just a normal fried chicken, really.

Continuing, I showed more recipes to him. I could even notice that his eyes were shining from receiving a new recipe. Even if he was from the human race, he didn't discriminate knowledge.

Tema's feature may be confusing and make me wonder. Sharing the recipe, there is more to that.

'How can you tell the recipe of what I ate back on Earth?'

[The taste bud, from our merging, basic information was sent to me. It includes the exact taste and appropriate ingredients. I can also recreate a blueprint to make different produced materials, like pencils, perfume, and different things.]

I was left speechless after hearing that. I still can't process what I have just heard. Does it mean that apart from the system's power, I can have a new power in the form of knowledge?

Knowledge from Earth is too powerful compared here. Even the paper that Rena was recreating, it would greatly help our nation's development.

'Can we even recreate gun powder? I have touched one back on Earth.'

[Yes... Since we are at 89% of merging, the information I receive is now about your previous environment.]

This is truly amazing! It can help my nation's warfare. Even just for security and defensive purposes, it's still helpful. There's no assurance that no one will attack us. But war is war after all. We can just fight them all.

I can understand that there are some that loathe us. It was true that we invaded a land without declaring or waging a war. It was also true that we killed their hostile soldiers and knights, but it was war. They can't complain if someone dies in times of war.

They would really won't accept us if we declare our nation. They would even prepare to attack us just to eradicate our nation. But they can't do that, because I will prepare everything just to make my nation at the top without invading. 

Even if they prepare to attack us, or spy on us, I will create a supreme inner circle that they can't infiltrate.

Let's just hope that they can't prepare that much. Florans were already damaged by Rena's invasion, and Olteria too. However, there are nobles who see this situation as their luck.

There is no assurance that no one will see this as their benefit. They will use this as their way to cause civil war to steal and take more power inside their nation.

So before infiltrating them, I will prepare my nation for every possibility.

I left the kitchen after giving the recipe. I told them that I would find new personnel, new citizens to help us.

'You can also help me with the buildings, right?'

[Yes. However, there will be materials we need to recreate. Such as steel, strong concrete and others. Their masonry technique is just estimated to survive in 50 years, but the concrete that we need will survive for thousands of years.]

'That is long! So how can we create this?'

[We will need more time. I still don't have the information.]

'I see. Then, it's good.'

I left the mansion then walked my way to the city. I still haven't spoken with these humans. Maybe I'll just recover my MP while I talk with them.

Arriving in the city, I noticed a lively environment. Who would've thought that this was an invaded land?

The structures of the houses and stores are the same as in the medieval period. The most common colors of their buildings are orange since there is a lack of discovery of different pigments and dyes that could be used as paints.

The economy was rotating nicely since we didn't let a store close. The currency was still following the Olteria gold coins, but I will think of creating a bank where they can exchange their coins.

I will also establish a merchant guild which focuses on information gathering. They will be our eyes in other countries' economies so that our economy will survive.

The allocation of funds will be managed by our inner bank. Of course, it would be a long plan, but it is necessary. The economy is important to have a nation survive.

"His Majesty is here."

"The lord of the land is here."

"Look, the king!"

Their whispering voices reaached my ears as I slowly walked in the middle of the street. I was delighted that they recognized me even without the need to be distinct. I wasn't accompanied by someone, so it was nice that they liked me.

"His Majesty, Demon Lord Lucifarge, All Hail His Greatness." They welcomed me.

I just smiled awkwardly, because I could feel some fear from them. The only people who weren't scared were the men who served me in the invasion of Hinayowai.

Now that I mentioned Hinayowai, I need to put a governor there! I still haven't checked it since I didn't have the time. It was previously a land for Rena, but I changed the plan after the invasion. What a pity.

The women were embracing their children and the men were insulted by their acts. I just shook them to not prolong the fear. If they see it as tyranny, it would be bad and I won't catch their hearts.

Since Lucy and the other personnel were not present, I think that's how the air became heavy. After all, they were the ones that made people accept that they would become my followers. But there will still be people who would doubt my governance.

"It's okay. I just came here to observe, don't be troubled." I assured them as they slowly continued what they were doing, but they were still sharing me some gaze.

The stalls were not that big. They were selling some products that basically came from their harvest in the forest.

By the way, the nearby forest was almost safe since low intelligence monsters were hunted for the banquet.

"May I ask you something. Why are you sacread of me?" I approached a young lady who was quivering in fear. 

As far as I can remember, there were people who greeted me when they saw my huma appearance, but they were all people near the mansion. I still haven't shared them with my presence since the beginning, just when I pass through.

"N-no Your Majesty. W-why w-would I dare t-to be afraid of you?" The young lady said as she bowed her head.

"No. You are afraid of me." I insisted while looking at her.

"Please forgive me! Please s-spare my life, Y-your Majesty!" She pleads as more trembles appear.

I can only sigh at this scene. Am I that evil in their eyes since I announced I am a demon lord? Well, it's just my goal but I still haven't become one.

Well, it's true that past demon lords were evil, but they perished without a trace. It was a rare evolution of a monster into a demon. Well, demons are deemed as the incarnation of evil. At least, the majority sees them as evil, not as a race.

"What are you talking about? Do you plan to oppress people?" I asked while keeping my stance. 

Even though this lady is still taller than me, I should still keep my stance to be more respectable. They are my people. If they see me as a joke, it means I did not do my job properly.

"W-what do you mean, Y-your Majesty?" The lady stuttered as she organized her words from nervousness.

"I only kill people who are hostile towards us, or at least oppressors. Do you see yourself as that?"

"N-no! Y-your Majesty."

"Then good. I don't plan to be a tyranny king or oppressor. Rest assured, I won't kill you just because you are afraid." I said before acting to continue my walk.

"It is true that I invaded this land, but it was all for the sake of my job. Only the cat kin knows this, so I think it would be best to announce this with you."

I immersed myself inside the MP and felt Shiro and Purity's presence. I don't know if this works, but at least, what I concluded about this skill is that they are my familiars, beings that I can summon from my call.

Seconds later, the crumbling sound from roofs emerged. Appearing before people's eyes were the white vibrant furs of my familiars. They slowly climbed down and approached my stand. 

It was a success. I unlocked another capability of my skill.

"That was just for the sake of fixing the world. I have been given a task to fix humanity's society. And these are the proof that I am purely obeying a task from heaven. Res assured, I will do my job properly."

After saying that, the young lady slowly raised her head with her eyes filled with tears. What? Did she become more afraid of me?! Why is she crying?!

"Y-your Majesty... Please forgive me..." 

Wait! What did I do? Is she happy because I was followed by divine beasts? Hey! Stop crying, it makes me feel guilty.

"H-hey! W-why are you crying?"

"His Majesty, Demon Lord Lucifarge, All Hail His Greatness." She uttered it with a trembling voice. But I did not expect what was going to happen. All of the people around me were also crying. What the heck!

"His Majesty, Demon Lord Lucifarge, All Hail His Greatness." They joined the lady's words!

What's wrong with them?! Am I that great?! Did they change their perspective in a short moment?!

I thought I was going to die of nervousness. Their cries made me tremble from fear. What a dangerous creature. They would even cry just to hail me.

Nevertheless, it was still nice that they acknoledged me without any negative feelings.

After I left the city, I flew to the direction of the cave. The cave I was searching for is the cave that we stayed for a night. That cave was near an orc tribe, I am sure, since I hunted some.

I still haven't made any progress since yesterday. I'm still stuck at level 49. And I've been wondering why the cap only shows when I have this human body.

When I was back at monster body, I didn't have a level cap. Does that mean that this body will remain temporary or the monster body has a different system of evolution?

I did assume that when I was a Goblin King that when I reached level 50, I would evolve. Perhaps I was wrong. Maybe evolution is something that you shouldn't anticipate and since I have a human body, evolution was fixed. That's why the level cap appeared.

I couldn't help but to scratch my nape... This is really making my head hurt. This body can't still keep up with my high INT stats. That's why I can't think properly. But my other stats were properly working. My skills also merged with this body, only the brain is not working properly.

Finally, the orc tribe was emerging from my vision. It seems that a bipedal pig wasn't that smart. Their huts are all made of dried huge leaves with only support by woods.

Their fences are the only thing worth praising since they are properly buried to the land. Their village was also elivated.

From what I see, there are obviously more than 40 orcs, but if I assume that there are inside their houses, it would be 60 above.

Right, I haven't questioned why I receive this daily quest. I should ask Tema about this matter.

I slowly landed on the land near the orcs' gate. When they saw me, they were alarmed and prepared their weapons pointed at me. Their eyes were furious as their flattened nose produced smokes.

Their bodies are quite different from the other orcs. These guards have different colors of skin and they are furs. Their fur is brownish and they have a little two horns above their forehead.

All of them are wearing basic clothes, only to suffice to cover their body.

"/I didn't come here to attack you./"

"/Human! You speak our language! Are you a monster?!/"

Their eyes are still the same but their voices sound stupid. It is like a squinted or pinched rough voice.

"/Indeed. I was a monster but I inhabited this human body to have a better motor. My previous body was quite massive. Think of the height of your fence, I am taller than that./"

All of them shifted their eyes to the fence. They seemed to be amazed by my words. I thought that their voices were the only stupid, but also their heads were stupid. How could pigs' brains compare to those of humans? I can't see that comparison here.

"/You are tall and you can fly! Are you perhaps here to captivate our tribe?!/" Still... Their voices are too annoying to hear. I thought they would oink, but their voices are too stupid to hear.

"/I am the powerful monster in this forest. I came here to offer you land in my nation. I invaded human land just near the north. It would be best if you could help me./"

After my words, they didn't reply. All of them were only thinking, but after a few seconds, they faced me again and pointed their weapons once again.

"/You are here to captivate us!/"

"/Yes! Slave! A lie that you are the most powerful monster!/"

"/Sorcerer only! slaver! Attack!/"

Oh boy, they are stupid. Be thankful that I need you as my workers, not as my exp.
