The two stood facing each other in front of the simple hut. This was the hut in which John lived. He had built it some time after his arrival.
Without any preamble, Arthur extended his hand forward, and suddenly a group of weapons came out of the ring on his finger and fell to the ground.
John's gaze wandered to the ring on Arthur's hand and the weapons on the floor, his mouth open in shock at the sight in front of him, his jaw almost reaching the floor.
"Holy shit," John muttered quietly, still looking at Arthur with a shocked expression.
"Do you like this?" Arthur smiled, observing John's shocked expression. He enjoyed the child's reactions and continued to tease him whenever he could. If John knew what Arthur was thinking, he might have started cursing him.
Upon hearing Arthur's response and ignoring his smile, John nodded. How could he not be surprised by this? These things only happen in games and novels, but the feeling of having so many things appear in front of you from just a ring in your hand was absolutely madness.
"This is a spatial ring. You can store any inanimate object in it, and it will preserve it as it was. Additionally, when you put your blood on it, you will be recognized as its owner, and no one will be able to open it afterward. You can buy one, but they are very expensive."
John nodded at Arthur he knew he couldn't afford something as valuable as this anytime soon. He didn't even have any money. However, he made a mental note that he would definitely buy one when he had the money.
"Leave that now and let us focus here. I will tell you a little about these weapons while you choose a weapon and I will begin training you with it." Arthur said to John who was lost in his thoughts after seeing the ring.
"Alright, John, let me introduce you to a few weapons. We've got swords, daggers, spears, and bows. Each has its own unique charm and purpose."
Arthur gestured toward the weapons laid out before them. "First, the sword. A versatile and classic choice. Swift strikes, precise cuts, and a good balance between offense and defense. It's the bread and butter of many warriors."
He then pointed to the daggers. "Daggers are swift and deadly in close quarters. Ideal for swift strikes and concealed attacks. A skilled wielder can be a nightmare for enemies, striking from the shadows or in the midst of chaos."
Moving to the spears, Arthur continued, "Spears provide reach. They're excellent for keeping foes at bay, especially against larger opponents. A skilled user can control the battlefield and dictate the flow of combat."
Pointing at the bows, he explained, "Now, bows offer a different approach. Ranged attacks, precision, and the element of surprise. A skilled archer can eliminate threats from a distance before they even reach you."

John examined the weapons laid out before him, each one holding a promise of power and danger. His eyes lingered on the gleaming sword, the subtle gleam of the daggers, the imposing length of the spear, and the elegant curves of the bow. It was a pivotal decision, one that would shape his journey into this new world.
The sword, with its timeless appeal, called to him. Its sleek design seemed to promise mastery over the art of combat. John imagined the satisfying sound of a well-executed swing, the clash of steel in a duel.
On the other hand, the daggers whispered of stealth and cunning. Their smaller size hinted at swift and precise strikes, a dance of blades in the shadows. The allure of being a silent and deadly force intrigued him.
The spear, with its extended reach, represented a different strategy. It symbolized control and strategic positioning on the battlefield. John envisioned himself fending off adversaries with calculated thrusts.
Lastly, the bow beckoned with the promise of ranged precision. The idea of striking down foes from a distance appealed to his tactical instincts. A skilled archer, hidden in the periphery, shaping the course of battle.
Amidst the choices before him, John felt drawn to the bow. He did not want to fight up close. He was not accustomed to fighting, but at the same time, he wanted to get used to it and use the sword or daggers. He ruled out the spear for an unknown reason.
"What's going on?" Arthur noticed John's puzzled look as he examined the weapons in front of him. John answered calmly, "I don't know what to choose. I'm torn between a spear and a dagger."
"Oh, and why is that?" Arthur's eyes lit up as he looked at his student in front of him.
"I admit, at first I was attracted to the bow, but after thinking, I don't want to use it. It's true that it's good to keep a large distance between me and the opponent, but if it somehow reaches me, I won't see daylight again."
Arthur motioned for John to continue. He appreciated John's analysis.
"I don't know why I ruled out the sword, but I think the spear and dagger are better. The spear has a longer reach than the sword, allowing me to maintain a good distance. On the other hand, the dagger requires me to get closer, but it is faster, more agile, and more accurate."
The place was silent, and Arthur calmly waited for John's decision. After a few seconds, John finally made his choice.
"I will choose the dagger"
