"It's not the first time that Pagos appear." Andreas admits, looking straight in Carl's eyes. His dark, penetrating eyes were staring fearlessly.
"Any dragon picked her, and then Pagos appeared. He didn't attack her until she did it first." Andreas continues his saying, looking at Gabriel with the corner of his eye, who didn't seem surprised, unlike everyone else. Instead he seemed confused, wondering why Andreas would keep secret such an important thing.
"So you kept this from us? Are you insane?" Carl raises his voice, making near students turn around and stare at them.
"I said he didn't attack her. It could have been a coincidence." Andreas explains, rolling his eyes.
"That's ridiculous. I don't know what's happening to you. I heard rumors about you having an affair with that blonde girl and now with Roselyn too?" Carl lowers his voice and glower at him, disappointed.
"I'm not having an affair with anyone, I just knew how you would react so I wanted to be certain that Pagos attacked her first." His gaze was mad. They seemed in point to start an argument when Margaret steps in the middle of them.
"Why don't we have dinner together this night so we can talk about everything in front of a hot meal?" She looks at both of them smiling, like if nothing has happened. How could she be so calm when her school has been destroyed?
Carl and Andreas gaze at each other, frowning until Andreas steps back and moves his gaze to Margaret, then nods, smiling to her.
He turns around, reaching for Roselyn, whose barely recovered from earlier.
"Let's go." He whispers to her, regardless of the fact she was still pale and shaking.
During the ride back home with Roselyn, Andreas doesn't say a word. Roselyn is the one who has to talk, as always.
"Why are you mad now?" She asks with an annoyed voice. She had to go through a lot, and his behavior wasn't surely helping at all.
"I'm not mad, I'm concerned." He says, driving so fast that Rose needed to hold on to the chair.
"Why?" She says glowering at him since his rushing make her hit her head against the car ceiling.
"I don't want to argue with you. Just don't talk to me when I am bad tempered." He says, lightly slowing down.
"I don't want to argue neither, you can tell me what happened."
They arrive at Andreas' house so he opens the door. "Next week you'll stop staying at my house since we almost finished all the practical tests and you'll attend lessons like the other students as soon as school will be rebuilt." He says entering the house.
"And now you kick me out." Roselyn whispers, annoyed.
"I'm not kicking you out, this is praxis." He says looking at her in the eye.
"You should really see a therapist because your mood switches are serious." She says storming off.
He walks behind her and with anger opens the door wide that it slams again the door. "Maybe Yes I should see a therapist for having risked everything for such an ungrateful girl." He was raising his voice now loud.
"So that's why you're mad because you're in trouble because of me?" Rose asks, folding her arms.
"Nevermind" He says rolling his eyes and shaking his head, he turns around ready to walk away.
"I'm sorry, okay??" Roselyn says before he can leave. He turns his head back around and looks at her.
"I'm sorry for getting you in trouble." Rose admits, looking down at the floor, like if she felt unjustifiable guilty.
He stares at her unblinking for a few instants, then nods and leaves her room. His facial expression was unreadable as always, on the contrary Roselyn's facial expression was clearly wan.
He was certainly not the type of guy whose intentions are clear. One day he seemed nice doing everything to help her, and then all in a sudden the next day he was rejecting her and was being moody. He wasn't the guy who you can have a healthy relationship with.
However, whether he likes it or now, the damage was done and he couldn't turn back time and change his choices. Just like Roselyn couldn't change the way she felt for him.
Although it was hard to admit to herself, she was falling for him, too fast and too intensely. In addition, for a moody boy who now hated her. Is there something worse than having feelings for a boy who hates you for ruining his life? For Roselyn, there wasn't nothing worse.
She was lost and confused. In that moment she really needed someone by her side, maybe the mother she never had, maybe just a friend, instead she was helplessly alone.
Life sometimes can be so cruel, it can give you something that you have always wanted to, in change it will take away everything you've reached with all your endeavors so far.
She closes her eyes, hoping that by doing such a thing all her problems would disappear in that darkness.
I hope you like my story so far, I've had a hard time and writing is the only escape I have. I hope everyone is safe <3
