"Here the normality is being blond with light eyes. Although for humans may be attractive, here's .. how can I say.. basic. On the other hand, your long hair." He touches her hair and sticks his finger in a tress, he runs his fingers through it, crossing all its length. His gaze was cold, as usual, yet his touch was gentle and delicate.
"This Mediterranean Beauty. Brown eyes and brown hair. This is a refined beauty. And your body..." His touch runs down her hips. His hands were big enough to touch all her waist. He looks down inspecting her curves for some seconds, and then he looks straight in her eye, while he whispers: "Don't ever try to underestimate yourself again."
A cold thrill runs through her back making her blush lightly.
When he notices her embarrassment, he backs off, folding his arms. "What I meant is that every boy will try to get with you here. So be careful. Okay?"
Rose exhaled nodding. She was used to be around boys who complimented her or flirted but Andreas's intentions were unclear.
The way he touched her, the way he spoke, made her wonder if he might be interested in her. Or maybe he was just playing?
He quickly grabs some snacks and a glass of water.
She must have been tired. He usually makes every Enchantress eat after they've accomplished their test. But Roselyn's presence had shaken him since the first minute he's seen her, there was something about her that intrigued him, not only was he strongly attracted to her appearance, but also, he was curious about knowing more about her. Not to mention her extraordinary capabilities of controlling her powers, along with the fact that she made Pagos appear for the first time in ages.
He knew all her life by heart, like every other professor in the school, despite this, she was still so mysterious to him.
"I'm sorry, I forgot that you could be hungry. It's lunchtime so we can go to the school cafeteria so you can also make new friends." He says.
She nods. She never had any trouble making friends, she always knew somebody popular enough who introduced her to new people, and in a few months, she would end up knowing everyone in the city. Additionally, she went to parties a lot, and that's where she met even more people of dubious reputation, the more she was frequenting them, the more she was badly influenced by them. She presumed people to be different there, she imagined them to talk continuously about magic matters, and in that case, she wouldn't know how to talk to them, nor how to approach them. She felt like they had nothing in common with her, besides their appearance.
She nods trying to disguise her distress.
With a quick movement of the hand, in a blink of an eye, they find themselves in the school's cafeteria.
"You know I can walk right?" she complains. Their arrival made tables shake, catching the attention of every student in the cafeteria.
She can hear people whispering. She looks around trying to look for the serving line.
There it was, what a shame that it was behind groups of students waiting and chatting.
'Roselyn, you're making a fool of yourself, come on'
She encourages herself. She takes a long breath and tries to walk in the middle of the crowd. Everyone looks at her puzzled yet intrigued, she had long hair, lightly curled, and dark eyes. Andreas was right when he said that girls looked the same there. Most of them were skinny and blond, with grey or blue eyes.
The girls who were brown were staying aside in the group, it was pretty clear that they felt inadequate. But why would they feel like that for something so normal, it's not like you can control the color of your hair, or eyes, let alone facial features.
She looks down at the floor, pretending to ignore everyone but just when she almost arrived at the serving line, a familiar face appears in front of her, smiling hugely at her.
"Hello, hello, hello. Look who we have here." It was Emily's voice, behind her were standing three girls, two of them had long blond hair and blue eyes, the third one had shorter hair with green eyes. They were gazing at Roselyn with condescension.
Roselyn tries to walk away but her minions were blocking the way.
She rolls her eyes. "I'm hungry." She says.
"Girls, she's Andreas's new love. Well, love that will last, how much? 1-week maximum? Before he leaves you for someone prettier." She laughs.
"I'm not his new love. Sorry to disappoint you, Emily, but not everyone is that desperate to beg for a boy's attention. How much did your relationship last? Just out of curiosity, 'cause for being this jealous, you two must've been dating for years."
The short-haired blonde girl answers "They never dated officially bu-" Roselyn giggles and stops her saying. "So, not even for 1 week? That sounds a bit pathetic, don't you think?" Emily's minions open their mouths in shock.
"You don't understand who you're putting yourself against," Emily says glaring.
"Nice to meet you." A tall, muscled blonde boy with blue eyes and a prominent jaw interrupts the quarrel, as he flashes a huge smile.
"I'm Ben." He says. "You must be the new enchantress."
Roselyn nods. "I'm Roselyn."
"Would you like to have lunch with me and my friends?"
Was that a dream? The hottest boy was talking to her even in a magic school. So people aren't so different from her normal school, after all.
'Ben, you can take me anywhere' she thinks, as she smiles back to him.
They start walking toward the serving line.
"You saved me from Emily." Roselyn laughs.
"I know, you own me one." He winks. "But let me save you again, never take the salmon, just go for eggs and chicken. Also, avoid spinach, trust me, they're awful." He whispers.
Roselyn nods and whispers back "okay sir"
A middle-aged woman with curly ginger hair was waiting for Roselyn's order while she tapped her ladle against the glass.
"Chicken and courgettes, please. Can I also have some potatoes and bread?" The woman puts the food on the place and hands it to Roselyn.
She takes the place and starts walking behind Ben.
"I've heard that you've never used your powers before."
Roselyn nods as a response to Ben's observation.
"We can practice together if you want." He says smiling.
Was he trying to flirt, or was he just being nice? One or the other, she could use some help.
She sits at the table in front of Ben, two of his friends were standing on the right side of the table, while a girl was sitting on the left, with me.
"Are you the new enchantress?" She asks, smiling friendly.
Roselyn nods, one of the guys on the left side looks at her, from head to toe, and states "Damn, she's hot as fuck." Then he whispers something to Ben and they both giggle.
"So let's play some game." The second guy says, raising an eyebrow, gazing at Rose.
Roselyn was feeling weird as if someone was watching her, she looks around the cafeteria until she meets Andreas's serious gaze.
He warned her about guys at that school, but she didn't seem to care. Maybe he heard some indecent thoughts they had on her and he was worried? If so, she was old enough to deal with a few players, she's done that before.
"Let's play then." Roselyn smiles, with a challenging smirk on her face.
