The Bet

I turned in the bed so that my feet could touch the ground. The exhaustion I had been going through for the past day finally seemed to have left my body and I was eager to get to the university to get some work done. I had missed a whole day of work and our schedules were packed.

"What are you doing?" Runihura's voice thundered from behind me as I stood up from the bed.

"Standing up," I looked back at me him with an innocent expression. "You know it's something everyone does."

He frowned and folded his strong arms over his chest, "You have not fully regained your energy yet."

"I feel extremely energized," I gave him a fake smile, "You're just trying to keep me as a hostage."

"I don't have to keep you hostage because I can just follow you around."

"I'll have to get a cross and holy water so that you can leave me alone," I walked around the bed and made my way to the bathroom. He followed closely behind me which had my heart feeling strangely giddy.
