The Lost City
The message from the young warrior had sparked a sense of excitement within me. I had always been fascinated by the stories of the ancient civilizations that had once thrived in this land. Legends spoke of a lost city, hidden deep in the heart of the mountains, where ancient artifacts and treasures lay hidden.
I couldn't help but wonder if this was the same city that the young warrior was speaking of. I decided to send a team to investigate, and see if they could uncover any clues about this fabled city.
Riven, Eira, and a small group of our most skilled warriors set out on the journey, leaving me behind to oversee the Order's operations. I spent many sleepless nights, thinking about the possibilities. What could we find in this lost city? Was it just a myth, or was it real?
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. The team had not returned, and I began to worry. Had they encountered danger, or had they found something that they couldn't handle?
Just as I was about to give up hope, I received a message from Riven. He was back, and he had found something incredible.
"We've found it," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "The lost city is real. It's hidden deep in the mountains, and it's filled with ancient artifacts and treasures beyond your wildest dreams."
I felt a rush of excitement as I read his words. This was what we had been searching for. This was the key to unlocking the secrets of our past.
But as I read on, my excitement began to turn to concern. Riven's message was cryptic, and it seemed to hint at something more sinister.
"We've found something else," he wrote. "Something that changes everything. We need to get back to you as soon as possible."
I felt a sense of unease wash over me. What had they found? What could possibly change everything?
I knew that I had to wait for their return, but it was going to be hard. I couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
And so, I waited.
For what lay ahead for us now?
