Chapter 40: Too Little Too Late
Birdy wrung her hands together nervously as she waited for Alex to arrive. After her encounter with Ravyn, she and Alex had only exchanged a few texts about their meeting today. They had made this appointment weeks ago to pick the clothes they would use for Alex's upcoming magazine cover and interview.
She had been excited for this for weeks but now she was dreading it. She was dressing Alex for the cover of "Avant Gardiste", the biggest high fashion magazine in the world. Having her credited as the stylist for such a big moment would be a huge boost for her career. Also, aside from being one of only three black women to grace the cover, Alex was the first, and only, person to have dreadlocks on the cover.
To say that this was a big deal to the both of them was an understatement.
