Chapter 5 The Ancestral Tomb
"It's only left with 7 years for the Ancestral Tomb to be opened and the King and the Prince are not here.
And we all know that it's been 9 years since the king and prince went into to the cultivation seclusion and we don't even know if they are still alive or not." Duke Collins Arthur who was the cousin of Lucas said.
The Prime Minister of the Wyvern Kingdom tried to persuade the officials that were present in the meeting room to wait for their king and prince to come out of seclusion before they make any decision regarding the Ancestral Tomb.
"So is Duke Collins suggesting that we should choose a new king?" The prime minister asked him furiously.
"I'm not saying that we should choose a new king but rather we should need to find someone who will stand in the king's absence to guide and control the people of the Wyvern kingdom.
And also we someone to lead our young genius cultivators to the Ancestral Tomb when it opens." Collins uttered.
Many officials supported the suggestion of and was willing to support Duke Collins.
When the prime minister head what head the suggestion of Duke Collins, he already knew what he wanted.
"So who do you think is the perfect candidate to stand in the king's absence to lead our young cultivators to the Ancestral Tomb?" The prime minister asked
"I think it's either you or I who is the best candidates for this position." Collins said
"Hmmmm. "The prime minister sighed.
"Okay an election will be held in the palace where the royal members and officials will vote to choose the one who will stand in the absence to control the kingdom and lead the young cultivators to the Ancestral Tomb. And that election will be held in 5 years later because we need to wait and see if the king will appear within that 5 years."
After the prime minister said that, he left the meeting room in anger.
Duke Collins Arthur was confident that he will win because he had a lot of supporters then the prime minister who was calculative in his every move.
King Alfred sat on his throne with a smile on his face. Although he hadn't broke through to the
Peak Meridian Forging Realm yet after the war they had with the Wyvern kingdom 5 years ago but he had made some progress in his cultivation and he was nearing the Peak Meridian Forging Realm.
"King Lucas and Prince Armstrong of the Wyvern kingdom hasn't come from their so called seclusion that they went yet and it's only left with 7 years for the Ancestral Tomb which opens every 100 years to open.
This is an opportunity for bring the Wyvern Kingdom under our rule because we have the Narnia and the Iceland Kingdom on our side.
And if our young cultivators are able to get precious pills, treasure or martial techniques that are at high levels, then we would be able to build an empire by ourselves and if luckily, one of them make it to the core of the realm and receives the inheritance, we would become gods of Baltis Continent and the other continents in this world." Alfred said confidently.
All the officials in the meeting room laughed and mocked the Wyvern Kingdom for not having a king to lead their young cultivators to the Ancestors Tomb. And the continued to plan how they are going to train their young cultivators within the next 7 years.
In the cultivation chamber.
Through the all night cultivation session of Armstrong, he was able to open 3 out of 9 dantians of his. Although he was at the Initiate Mist Refinement Realm, his strength was on par with a Late Mist Refinement Realm cultivator.
"Good morning son." Lucas greeted
"Good morning dad." Armstrong greeted back.
"It seems like your aura has become stronger than that of last night.
Have you made a breakthrough?" Lucas asked
"I broke through to the Initiate Mist Refinement Realm last night. And to tell you the truth, I can stand against a Late Mist Refinement Realm cultivator." Armstrong said excitedly
When Lucas heard that, he was somehow surprised because his son has changed into something mysterious that he couldn't even comprehend in just a night.
"How can you say that you can stand against a Late Mist Refinement Realm cultivator with your Initiate Mist Refinement Realm?" Lucas asked confused
"It's my secret dad and I will prove what I said to you when I meet the young cultivators out there."
Armstrong said confidently.
"Okay if you will not tell me then it's fine because every cultivator have a secret."
"We will continue from where we ended our conversation about the cultivation realms.
So what cultivation realm did we reach?" Lucas asked
"You ended at the Core Formation Realm." Armstrong answered
"Okay then let's continue from there.
So after the Core Formation Realm, the next realm is the Meridian Forging Realm.
It is the peak cultivation realm of this Baltis Continent we are living in."
"So what power does a Meridian Forging Realm expert have?" Armstrong asked.
"In the Meridian Forging Realm, the aperture, the veins, the meridians and the organs within the cultivator connects with the elemental core in his or her dantian to be able to release your elemental power from your core through every part of your body. Although you can use your elemental power in the Core Formation Realm but you can allow release your elemental power through your hands and it wouldn't be intensive as that of the Meridian Forging Realm expert releasing his or her elemental power.
And also you can create temporary weapons with your elemental power when you are in the Meridian Forging Realm." Lucas explained to Armstrong
"Wow that's so cool dad." Armstrong exclaimed
"So is there any realm above the Meridian Forging Realm?"
"I don't know son because I've been trying to breakthrough from the Meridian Forging Realm to see if there is another realm above it.
But all my efforts are to no avail." Lucas said
But there is a rumors that there are cultivators in the other two continents in this world that have broken through to the realm above Meridian Forging Realm but I don't know is it's true. He said
"So why don't you go to these continents and confirm if the rumors are true?" Armstrong asked
"To cross one continent to another continent, it's nearly impossible because you might die in the process and also the other continents aren't that friendly" Lucas explained.
"Don't worry dad, I'm gonna breakthrough to that realm in the future and I'm gonna bring the other 3 kingdoms in Baltis Continent under your rule and we will establish an empire ourselves." Armstrong said with passion
When Lucas heard what his son said, he became shocked. He didn't know where his son got that courage to say those things. But in all he was proud to have a son who was intelligent, brave and determined always.
"There is something important that I want you to know about and it's this realm called the Ancestral Tomb." Said Lucas
"The Ancestral Tomb?" Armstrong asked
"Yes the Ancestral Tomb." Lucas replied
"It is a realm that opens every 100 years for young cultivators between the age of 13 to 16 years who are in Qi Condensation Realm and below to enter." Lucas explained to his son.
"So when will the Ancestral Tomb open?" Armstrong's asked.
"It's only left with 7 years for the realm to open for the young cultivators to enter." Lucas answered
"The Ancestral Tomb was discovered by four young cultivators who were an exploration of the world as an adventure. When they reached to this land, they noticed that the Qi here wasn't abundant or sufficient for them because all the Qi were gathering at the center of the land.
When they traced to where the Qi were gathering, they saw a majestic golden gate that was sucking the Qi in the air into it.
After witnessing that wonderful phenomena, they tried all their possible best to open the gate but they couldn't even make it move an inch from its position.
After seeing that they wouldn't be able to open the gate with just their strength, the camped there to wait for the gate to open on its own.
After 3 months later, the giant golden gate automatically opened on its own and when the four cultivators saw it, they rushed to enter it to see what was in side.
Although there could be danger lurking around but those cultivators didn't think about that as they entered the opened portal due to excitement. And as they entered, they saw themselves being teleported to another world where they thought they were in heaven."
Lucas paused for a while and continued.
"They started to plunder the spiritual fruits that they saw in the realm. Just cultivating there for a month, the were able to make several breakthroughs due to the abundant Qi that was in the realm.
One day as they were cultivating, they heard an old ancient voice out of no where telling them to move to the core of the realm.
As soon as they heard it, they rushed to the center of the realm, it took them 3 days for them to reach the center of the realm. And in that 3 days, they witnessed a lot of things that they haven't never dreamt of and also they faced a lot of challenges that almost claimed their lives within their journey to the core of the realm.
When the reached the center of the realm, they saw a majestic temple with a dragon statue on it. They tried to get closer but an invisible oppressive force restrained their movement as they couldn't move even an inch.
They heard the ancient voice can saying that they were not worthy to go closer to the Dragon Mage's Temple for it was only the destined and the chosen one who can enter to inherit the Dragon Mages inheritance.
When the 4 young cultivators couldn't help but to ask who the destined or the chosen one was and the voice replied them by saying "he is not yet born but he will surely be a descendant of one of you and he will do mysterious things from the day he will inherit the Dragon Mage".
"So you mean to tell me that since the very day the Ancestral Tomb opened for young cultivators to enter till now, no young cultivator has been able to enter the temple?" Armstrong asked
"Yes son no one has been able to enter the temple
By the way who were those 4 young cultivators who came from a different land?" Armstrong's
"They are our ancestors and also the founders of the 4 kingdoms on this land." Lucas answered him
"Okay let's continue with the history of the Ancestral Tomb"
"So when they heard the one who will inherit the Dragon Mage was going to be a descendant of one of them, they became elated. But all their joy seized when they the voice said that it was time for them to leave the realm but before the will go, the will have to go through some trials.
And as for what the trials were, your grandfather didn't tell me so I have no idea about it." Lucas said solemnly.
"After the 4 cultivators passed their trials the was full of difficulties and life threatening challenges, they saw a lot treasures such as weapons, pills, techniques etc appearing out of tin air in front of them.
And the voice told them this was the rewards they've earned by passing the test and the should share it amongst themselves.
So when they were about to leave, they heard the voice saying " this realm will open every 100 years and it should only be young cultivators between the age of 13 and 16 years who are at either Qi Condensation Realm or below who should enter and there should only be 14 young cultivators who should enter".
After listening to the voice for the last time, they bowed to pay their respect to the unknown and mysterious senior. And when the left the realm, each one of them established a kingdom with the treasures they had." Lucas narrated it to Armstrong.
"So when will we leave this cultivation chamber?" Armstrong asked his dad.
"Do you want to leave this chamber?" Lucas asked
"Of course I want to out an experience real life." "Armstrong answered
In order for you to get out of this cultivation chamber, you have to reach the Qi Condensation Realm with 5 years." Lucas said
