His fingers, firm but teasing, gripped her waist, pulling her against his body. “Do you know what happens to those who defy me, little pet?” His voice was low, dripping with dark amusement. He leaned down, his lips hovering just above hers, close enough for her to feel his breath but not close enough to touch. “They beg.”Elysia’s pulse quickened, her breath catching as her body betrayed the fear melting into something far more dangerous. Strong Gaze

When Elysia returned to the King's bedroom, he was no where to be found. She thanked her stars that he was away, she did not know how to explain her current state to him. He would probably call the physician if he heard of her growing headache.

Letting out a sigh, she changed her clothes into something lighter and took a short nap. Very short nap because an hour later, she was wide awake, yet there was no sign of the King.

Elysia decided to take a stroll, so she could finally think properly and clear her head. She quickly grabbed a shawl from the dresser, wrapping it around her shoulder. Changing her shoes into one meant for outdoor activities, she walked out of the room.
