"Are you sure, Elysia?" Azreal questioned, trying to be certain of her previous words even though she looked quite troubled.
"Yes, Your Majesty, I'm sure. There is no problem," Elysia replied, keeping her tone steady. "Like I said, I was just curious."
She hoped her answer would assure the King that there was nothing deeper to her question. Though she had considered sharing what she had recently learned, she held back. There was still a chance that it was all just a misunderstanding, and she didn't want to alarm him unnecessarily.
Azreal studied her for a few seconds, his piercing gaze lingering, before a slight smile softened his features. "Very well then," he replied, his tone calm.
He could sense there was something she was keeping from him, but he decided not to press her. He knew Elysia well enough to trust that, when the time was right, she would come to him willingly.
