I walked into Ecstasy to find some of the girls that works for Madame Cheryl lounging around in the common room and doing what girls do best.
"Hi, ladies," I greeted with a bright smile, pushing the dark glasses over my eyes to my forehead.
"Hi, Emma," they all chorused.
"What is up with you girl! You look too good to eat!" Bonnie a dark skinned goddess yelled from across the room.
I took a look at myself. I was dressed like I always do. Casual. I had a brown high jump track suit with a white Nike sneakers. Nothing out of the ordinary. I looked at Bonnie wondering what she was talking about.
"And here I thought that I always look good," I teased.
"Come off it girl. You know you are gorgeous, but there is something different about you."
Her words made the other girls lean in closer with their stare as if they were trying to snoop out the secret I was hiding.
"What is different about her is that she is a millionaire now," Sophie said from the doorway.
"What!" the girls screeched like a pack of parakeets.
I turned sharply to glare at her. "Sophie!"
"What! I didn't know it was a secret," she rolled her eyes while chewing her gum like she was having a beef with the gum.
Yeah she came along with me of this because we planned having our hair done. My treat.
The shopping wasn't enough. We also have to get a complete make over. The whole shenanigans. facials, nails and hair.
Put it simply we are going to a spa after I quit my job.
"Girl, what the fuck is your best friend going on about?"
I turned to glare at the said best friend who has made herself comfortable on one of the empty seats in the waiting room and picked up a beauty magazine.
She pretended to be judiciously focused on the pages. Which is tricky as she has the magazine up side down. I am going to skin her life after this.
I turned to face the girls wearing a fake closed lip smile on my lips. "It is not a big deal. Just a client that paid me good money."
"Two and half million dollars."
"Sophie! seriously my best friend needs to keep her trap shut. What is she trying to do? Get me kidnapped or worse killed.
"What! Babes is your pussy made of diamonds?"
I rolled my eyes at the blonde that made the snarky comment. "No. It is pink just like the rest of yours," I sassed.
"So who is the client?"
"If you say one more word Sophie I swear I am going to smack you," I warned my best friend before she could open her mouth again.
"Girl keep your knickers zipped. I wasn't going to say anything. I have no idea who your client is, except that his wife is paying you to fuck him."
I dropped my head to my hand in mortification. "Seriously, Soph can't you keep a secret to save your life?" I glared at the red head.
"What. Don't act all shocked and annoyed. You know I don't do well with secrets."
She has got a point.
"We all know if you want the whole city to hear about it..."
"Tell it to Sophie," they all chorused together.
"Hey!"
"We love you girl, but you are a blabber mouth."
"Whatever. I am not telling you guys any hot gist again," Sophie pouted.
"Please don't," I mumbled under my breathe, while the girls jokingly apologized.
They turned to face me again, but before they could carry on with their enquiry I quickly made my escape. "I am sorry girls but I need to speak to Madame Cheryl," I hurried out of the room.
I opened the door to Madame Cheryl's office to find her busy on her laptop. The older blonde was like a mother to me. She has been there for me when my family abandoned me. It is going to be hard to tell her that I am leaving.
She looked up when she felt my presence. "Here is my best girl," she gushed with a huge smile on her slightly wrinkled and well made up face.
"Hi, Cheryl," I smiled back at her making my way further into the room.
I took one of the seat across her desk.
"I am so sorry about the other day. I didn't know it was a female client. I know you don't entertain them. I would have sent one of the other girls who doesn't mind."
"It is okay Cheryl. It is all sorted out."
"So you have fucked her husband?" She peered at me knowingly through her long lashes.
I blushed hotly at her bluntness. "Cheryl!"
"Well? I have come across many things in this our line of business, but a woman paying a hooker to fuck her husband is a new one for me."
I shrugged. Not sure I understand the woman's reasons. I just chunked it up that she is crazy.
"I am yet to do that. She wants me to seduce him," I mumbled softly.
Cheryl stared at me for few seconds before speaking. "What is going on?"
"She is paying me five million dollars to seduce her husband."
Cheryl gaped at me. "Five mill. What is the catch? Because that is a lot of money for a pussy."
I blushed again. "I don't know if there is a catch. All she said is to seduce him." I omitted telling Cheryl about the murdering her husband part. I didn't want to worry her unnecessarily, and the woman already said she was kidding.
Though the jury is still out if I believe her.
Cheryl leaned back against her chest rocking it around with a thinking look on her face. That lasted for a second before she stopped to stare at me seriously. "I don't think you should do it. There is a lot this woman is not telling you. I mean what woman buys her husband a whore?"
"I think it is already too late," I mumbled thinking how much I spent from the money on shopping the other day. I think almost hundred K. I have never had such a huge amount of money in account before. I think I went a little crazy.
"Why do you say that? Have you met him?" Cheryl frowned like she didn't like that idea.
I shook my head. "I am talking about the money she paid you."
"Oh. I will just refund her back. You only need to say the word."
I looked at her shocked. "You are willing to give up One million dollars for me!"
"Yes it a huge amount of money. But there are more important things in life than money. You are like a daughter to me, and your safety matters more to me. This is why I don't think you should take the job. This smells fishy."
"She wouldn't take no for answer."
Cheryl scoffed. "She hasn't met me. I put the S in stubborn. Of course she will take no for an answer. Let me call her," Cheryl reached for the phone on her desk with the intention of doing as she said.
"No."
She gave me a questioning look.
I looked down and then back up at her. "I want to do it."
"Why?" she frowned like she couldn't understand my choice.
"No reason. And I am also here to tell you that I am quitting."
Cheryl's body froze and then a lot of emotions passed through her face. Shock, disappointment, then acceptance.
"Can I ask why?"
"I have always dreamed of owning my own bar. If I complete this job I will have enough money to achieve my dream."
"Looks like you have made up your mind."
I nodded, feeling bad inside that I was hurting the woman that have come to mean a lot to me. "I am sorry."
"Please don't apologize dear. This will always be a home to you. And promise me you will be careful."
"I will."
After I said my goodbyes to Cheryl, Sophie and I left for our spa day. When I arrived back at my home there was a black tinted car parked in front of my building.
At my approach the door opened and one of the woman's goons stepped out.
