Chapter seven: I am not being kidnapped

I dragged my feet to where the goon waited beside an opened door. Please, he indicated politely that I should enter the back of the car.

I gave him a cautious look wondering if it wise to enter the car of a stranger.

The clean shaved goon arched a brow at me that made me blush. I quickly entered and jumped when I found the woman sitting like a queen in the owner's corner reading a fashion magazine.

Today she was dressed in a milk colored suit with a side slit that allowed a very smooth pale skin to peep through.

The door closed making me jump again. The compartment suddenly became smaller than it looked.

"You are sure very jumpy today," the woman commented casually without looking away from the magazine in her hand.

I stole a glance at her and then returned it forward. I was very nervous and didn't know what to do with myself.

The car started moving startling me again.

"We are moving," I exclaimed flicking my terrified eyes from the woman to the driver in front and back again.

"Darling we have to if we are going to get to the jet awaiting our arrival."

Move, Jet, arrival. This woman wasn't making sense.

"We are leaving?" I asked anxiously, while looking at the woman with desperation.

The woman closed the magazine she was reading with a snap and then turned to face me with an unreadable expression on her face. "Are you alright? I told you last week that I will be picking you up this week."

"I didn't know you meant that we will be leaving the country." Not having an idea where we are going reminded me that I knew nothing about this woman. Not even her name. Have I made a mistake saying yes to this woman?

"Don't be melodramatic, we are not leaving the country, merely moving to another city," she spoke like she was speaking to a child.

Her patronizing tone made me flinch. "So where are we going?" I chanced a look at her. She has returned to het magazine.

"There is no need to ask dear. You can wait until we get there and then you will know."

Her answer made me more nervous. What was she hiding? Why is she not telling me where we are going? Is she involved in sex trafficking? I had a lot of questions in my mind, but no courage to ask them. All I could do was stare at her, maybe magically a part of her body could speak to me.

"What?"

"Nothing," I glanced to the front.

I shuffled around on the seat trying to find a comfortable position while the woman sat calmly like she had no worries in the world.

What to do. Maybe I should call Sophie and let her know who I was with in case the woman decides to murder me. At least someone will know where to look.

I took out my phone and dialed my best friend number with a slightly shaking hand.

"Hello," I whispered into the phone when she picked.

"Emma, are you alright? Why are you whispering?"

"I am with her," I whispered again, looking at the woman from my side eye.

"Who?"

"The woman from the hotel."

"Shit. What does she want?"

"We are leaving."

"What! The country?!"

"No. The city."

"Why the fuck did you not tell me that you were leaving? I was with you all day."

"That is because I didn't fucking know."

"Wait. Are you being kidnapped?"

"No."

"Okay. That is a relief. So which city are you going?"

"I don't know."

"Emma!"

"Well, she didn't answer when I asked."

"This is dangerous. I am going to call the police."

"And tell them what?"

"That my best friend has been kidnapped!"

"I have not been kidnapped. I entered the car willing."

"Why the fuck did you do that, when you don't know where you are going."

"I didn't know that we will be leaving when I entered the car."

"Well, it looks to me like you are being kidnapped. I think you should call the police before they take it away from you."

I stopped myself from sighing in frustration. "For the last time Sophie I am not being kidnapped."

"Well don't say I didn't warn you when the police finds your body in a ditch."

"That is why I am calling."

"You want me to identify your body? How do you want to be buried? Cremation, open coffin?"

"Sophie!"

"What!"

"It is not about my dead body. I want you to know where I am."

"Girl you don't even know where you are, how am I supposed to know where you are?"

I rolled my eyes.

"At least you know who I am with. I have to go the car is slowing down. I think we have arrived."

The place we were in was an open air strip surrounded by well cut green field with nothing else in sight, and the jet sitting few feet away from where we were parked.

"Wait. I don't know who you are..."

I ended the call cutting off the rest of her words.

When the car stopped the goon that let me in immediately appeared on the woman's side of the door and opened the door for her. She stepped out without casting a look in my direction.

I stepped down too. "Thank you," I said to the goon.

He nodded his head and fell in step behind us.

The woman's long stride was eating up the distance and she was leaving me behind, so I ran to catch up.

"So how is Sophie?" She asked when I appeared beside her, slightly breathless from having to run to keep up.

I halted, shocked at her question. My feet unfreeze after a second and I hurried again to catch up with her.

"How do you know my best friend?"

"I have my ways," she answered arrogantly.

"Wait, did you investigate me?" A deep furrow appeared between my brow. I didn't like the idea of someone digging into me.

"Of course. You didn't think I will let you do such an important task for me without first looking into you."

The woman was smug and unremorseful which made me want to kick her behind. "You had no right to dig into my past. That is violation of my privacy," I snapped angrily.

The woman took the first step up towards the jet and then turned to face me. "No need to worry your pretty head about it. It is not like I am going to share what I found out with New York Times."

So not the issue.

"I don't care if you share with the whole damn world. I have got nothing to hide," I mumbled following her into the Jet.

"Oh darling we have all got secrets," she smirked at me and walked inside.

I stared after her a little nervous about what she found out about me, before walking into the jet.

I whistled at the interior. This was luxury and opulence in flesh.

"Make yourself comfortable," the woman said and made herself comfortable on the long seat near the window.

I found one on the opposite side of hers, but also near the window. "Is this your husband's?"

"No it is mine."

"What!" I turned to look at her in shock.

"Should I be insulted that you don't think I could afford my own jet?" She quirked a brow at me.

I rolled my eyes at her. "In case it escaped your notice a Jet isn't exactly a bike."

"So what do you do?" I looked at her again. The woman was just too stunning for words. I don't know why she wants me to seduce her husband, and I am not sure I will even be able. I mean what man will have a gorgeous creature like her at home and wants to fuck someone else.

She turned to face me. "Are you accusing me of something?"

She looked so serious that I feared that I have offended her.

"No no no. I am just curious," I quickly defended.

"Relax dear, I am just messing with you," she smirked at me.

"No, what you are doing is trying to give me a heart attack," I grumbled more to myself.

"What did you say dear?"

"Nothing."

A young woman appeared before me and asked. "What would you like to drink?"

Before I could answer her, the captain announced our take off.
