What the hell are you doing here?
In the other part of the fort, a fight had already broken out. Aside from the guns firing here and there, revving vehicles, and loud crashes that would ignite from every direction; growls and howls resonated in the air.
Meanwhile, in the area that had been away from the chaos, Xander stood before the person riding a motorbike. The latter had stopped driving but still sat in the vehicle. His head was covered by a helmet, but it was turned in Xander's direction.
When Xander heard the siren, he rushed to welcome them with his pack. Assistant Vayne kept insisting that Xander go into safety or flee the scene. In that case, whatever happened, Xander was safe. But Xander refused.
Xander was an alpha of a district pack, and getting involved in a brawl wouldn't be surprising. Even though Xander avoided such a taxing confrontation, he was not to be underestimated. He didn't need protection, for his role was to protect his pack members.
