"Let go of my fiancee, Marcus."
Vincent took large steps toward Marcus and Fil, stopping a step from them. His eyes slowly went wide, making Marcus release Fil's arm.
"Look, man, it's not what you think it is," Marcus raised his hands over his shoulder. "I'm just trying to help her out."
Vincent's frown deepened, shifting his eyes to Fil. When his eyes landed on her, she tilted her head a little to the side. Looking at her clueless expression, he huffed deeply and controlled himself. There was no way Marcus would make a move on her. Even if Fil had changed and had made everyone turn their heads on her, she would always be Fil.
"Did something happen?" she asked, blinking innocently.
"I'll take you home," he said, taking her hand and facing Marcus. "Don't cross the line, Marc."
Marcus frowned, knowing to himself he only helped Fil. However, he said nothing in return because he couldn't deny his heart skipped a beat for a moment.
