Knitting my brow, I peer harder at these words, attempting to make sense of them yet finding no answers to procure. Yet it is a familiar phrase, one I am certain I have seen often before. But where?
"Loyalty is blind," Valerian says under his breath, rubbing his temples with his fingers. With a frown, I look at him.
"Loyalty is blind? That is a pretty callous inscription for something that is supposed to represent the 'almighty angels'," I snicker lowly. It is a miracle with sayings like that how the angels actually managed to accumulate any followers whatsoever, let alone a whole realm of them. But then again, in the face of those winged deities, who wouldn't be inclined to fall under their wings? Besides, its either them or the Downside, and with the mass of rumours that the angels had so meticulously crafted, it would be of no surprise to anyone that the gullible mortals of the Upper Realm would blindly follow the angels every word.
